Isn't Montu a B&M rather than a Vekoma SLC?

:)

Yes it is a B&M and it shows in how it rides so much more pace and power as opposed to infusion that loses its speed quickly and is pretty choppy

I have to say that my opinion of infusion has improved somewhat now its at BPB and thats down to just one reason, at BPB when the ops check the harness thats all they do unlike at southport where they used to forde them down on you so hard the ride was very uncomfy Still its a long way off my favour...

Spinball is one of those rides that keeps you smiling from start to finish, you never know what is going to happen next

If you can do nemesis then spinball is no problem as nemesis is by far the most intense of the two. Spinball is just great fun

Ride Photos - 1980's style

With all the talk about yourday and the technology involved to make that happen. Does anybody remember the way you used to get your on ride photos in years gone by Take the log flume, at the top of the last drop there used to be a little booth with somebody in it handing out slips with a reference n...

Whats the betting that next season the rapids will be fitted with seatbelts like the rapids rides in florida are? People like that are responsible for all the ridiculous safety measures parks have to do these days, ie seatbelts on the rollercoaster at BPB :x Then they'd just unclip them and jump in...

I once did thunder looper in the driving rain many years ago, it hurt and was a soaker and amazingly the ride did stop back in the station rather than carry on again towards the loop :D I have only ever done one coaster in snow and that was new years eve 2000 at BPB on the pepsi max big one, there w...

It’s a problem because people think they know best. They fail to see a problem with filming the read because ‘it won’t hurt anyone.’ But the fact of the matter is, it will if it falls. It’s just sheer selfishness and I don’t think Alton Towers, nor anyone else can battle peoples personality. All th...

Oblivion - Mobile Phones

Whilst at Alton on saturday we noticed that oblivion was stopped 3 times whilst we were down in the x sector due to people wanting to film the ride on their phones. I spoke to one of the ride ops and she said it has not been a good year with regards to that on oblivion. Does anybody know if any othe...

Even at £32 I don't think that is too bad for a full days entertainment. There are other things that are far more of a rip off than alton towers, football matches for starters with ticket prices that price defy belief. Besides it is always easy to get discount tickets for alton and other merlin park...

Good ride still after all these years

But i wish they would go back to something like the original seats on the boats as these are awful, not a lot of room and terrible to get into for those of us who are very tall, trust me!!
