Re: TowersTimes Forum SW7

'the bottom line is we're not doing this to force people to sign up' The reason I initially signed up to TTF was that after a long period of browsing the forums, I eventually felt able and happy to write a comment or post. If you're not able to get comfortable, you're not going to want to join. Simi...

Re: Future Developments

Something else that's been getting on my nerves, all the team keep going on about is how much of a hard job this is,I know it might be but there's no need to go on about it,I ran a fourm by myself for 2 years, granted not quite as big as this but of a big size. Please could you point out where this i...

But negativity is much more fun.

Is the advertising at the top of the forum new?

Re: Disneyland: General Discussion 2012

I'm gonna be honest, I'm quite impressed. The dark section looks exceptionally good, only bit that is weak is where the car seemingly waits slightly for the one behind. It appears you either get a gd experience after the tyre workshop or a bad one... :/

Manchester Utd - signed football

I raise a lot of money for a particular charity - India Direct.

If you fancy bidding, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

People are barking up the wrong tree.

Alton want a marketable worlds first.

Air was technically not, but they got around it by having 'next genenration' in the tag line.

It'll be something clearly marketable to the gen public.

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

Small investment year.

I'm 75% certain we'll see a Swarm themed dark ride attraction regarding scientific experiments into the effects of the swarm.

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Any significant issues that JW had around 10 years ago when designing duelling coasters would now have been 'ironed out' by technology advances.

Look at the dragon coasters at universal, the trains are weighed before they go onto the lift hill!

Re: Center Parks Elveden - *Worlds First* New Water Ride 2012

I've just come back from sherwood, where they had a family raft ride which is the precursor to this one. It was a fun family ride, but you didn't half have to queue. They could really have done with sorting the queuing system out, as it seems silly to have to wait 30 minutes for one ride in a waterp...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

I expect we're going to see some kind of thrill/scare attraction similar to the Saw alive attraction that will enhance the marketing and attendance figures for the swarm.

Expect science/military research facility. Something similar to sub terra.

Re: TTF sex scandal!

Got to admit, I'm not surprised at all that a number of conservative MPs are planning to rebel, despite the fact i'm a Tory myself and support the proposals. You still have to remember that at least 220 MPs from the conservatives are planning on voting for the proposal, if you rolled back 15-20 year...

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (ATTRACTION CLOSED 20-25 MAY)

That concept art has sparks - and sparks are still sort of mysterious as you can't buy a spark generator at Maplin. I think they should have them aswell but there must be a slight fire hazard with the machine itself. Maybe you can create fake sparks by splitting a yellow laser beam into tiny thin b...

Re: Online Booking Fees Removed - Hurrah!

It does seem ridiculous to have a booking fee at all, as it only serves to increase the cost of securing a ticket.

Any guest booking online is guaranteed to turn up!

Re: Roper update

The council have at no point opposed any of these attractions. The point of planning applications, when submitted with a noise report; is to ensure there is no reasonable opposition. The Roper's main point was that Alton were breaking a noise order placed upon them, and therefore were attacked for i...

Re: Roper update

I wonder how much the Ropers home is actually worth?

I would have expected that Merlin/AT would have already offered to purchase the house, if anything to use just as staff accommodation.
