Re: Europa Park - New Year 2011/2012

A good opportunity to re-vitalize my account here only to: Thank you for all the great comments! It was great to meet you all and to read that you all had a good time (not that I noticed on site...). I was guttered that no-one of you was still there when I left the new year party at 5 am! By the way...

New pics from INSIDE the construction area

Okay... obviously its forbidden to enter a construction site - especially if you take pictures and publish them. Besides that its a great chance for us fans to gain a sneek peak! [url=http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44765&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=270" target="_...

Re: Hansa-Park 2009: Fluch von Novgorod - story videos

What Hansa-Park does here is outstanding and very surprising as the park has 1.1 Million visitors per season = not THAT large. Here the official artwork of the ride (not too convincing) [url=http://www.hansapark.de/pdf/prospekte/tn_grp.jpg" target="_blank]http://www.hansapark.de/pdf/prospekte/tn_grp...

Re-locating the entrance would be such a bad step. Alton Towers would loose its "WOW"-opening it now delivers upon entering and walking down the main street towards the towers. Yes, Merlin is for example buliding a SeaLife next to Gardaland. But it is only because the area where the park i...

So is YourDay and Picsolve not the same company? I heared that Picsolve may build an onride cam for rides at AT. But wouldn't that clash with the YourDay project?

Why do they go for a drop tower (looks like CHANCE Rides which can shoot up, too) if they have the cool APOCALYPSE?

At least the Splash Battle + Rocking Tug combo is what worked very well this year at Legoland Germany. So it is probable. To the theming: the "problem" (from a fan's point of view) is with these rides, that the interaction between the boats and spectators makes the appeal and heavy theming...

Here is a project to bring a tower similar than the Stratosphere Tower to the city of Birmingham central England. Watch the video to see rides  http://www.vtp200.com BUT! They need support for this project. So click on "your view" button and register. It will give the project finall...

I know, I know - its more an information. Thats why I posted it under "other Parks" as there are now quite a few pirate-themed things popping up everywhere and I really like that one!

Djurs Sommerland

The small danish park Djurs Sommerland is building a new Intamin Hyper coaster with LOADS of artime hills: http://www.piratland.dk/?PageID=441&Gallery=Piraten On the page you will find layout and a No-Limits onride video, too. What a cool move of the park which, till now, is more of a small fami...

What is a bit misleading is, that the Terenzi Horror Nights are just a separately ticketed Nighttime event in a *very* limited area of the park and only on Thur/Fri/Sat after park hours. So don't mix it up with the regular happy halloween activities incl. Pirate Maze during the Halloween period (1st...

hm... somehow strange Hershey gets another vertical up and down and launch with loops when they have already "Stormrunner"... :?

And we all know since Thorpe that 10 inversions do not necessarily mean big fun. Yet it will do the (PR) job.

Its great that the ride manufacturers have now started to review the restraint systems. There wasn't any serious progress for AGES! Great. What differs to the trains on the new Vekoma Suspended Family coasters (Movie Park Germany, Grönalund Stockholm) is, that the train on the picture at Walibi Worl...

Sorry, for the new coaster the road to the major car park will be moved. This first of all is very good news as the former plans for the coaster were very "squeezed". Now the city of Rust agreed upon the move. Unfortunately NOW a higher administrative council has to agree. They most probab...

Hallowee at Europa-Park: for the first time more extreme

Besides the usual 6 weeks Halloween incl. Decoration etc (family friendly) Europa-Park will do scary nights hosted and presented by ex-Bogroup member Mark Terenzi. He participated years ago at Universal Horror Nights and brings some make up artists from there PLUS there will be a large new maze JUST...

Metal restraints

I had the SAME worries like you guys with the metal restraints without any padding. Funnily the first ride reports say that they are quite comfy? More and more people now flock to ride these new trains. I'm surprised to hear more about them. But - honestly - if they are comfortable on a chal...

That is really hard to determine as each manufacturer has its "specialties". So it depends on what you want to have, Inverter, Indoor Coaster, Wild Mouse, Spinning Coaster, Water Coaster etc... :? Basically I think B&M delivers the best Quality, but the least diversification of rides -...

How to fit Corkscrew into the RACE theme of Rita

New trains from German manufacturer SAT Rides (known for providing coaster wheels to almost all manufacturers) have appeard out of nowhere on a Vekoma Boomerang at Wiener Prater, Austria. I had to take more than one look - its without over the shoulder restraints! And appearently it has TUV approval...

Monte Makaya in Brazil opened in 1997 - to be precize. Just the fourth inline plus the one right before the station were put in additionally. But even worse is, that Colossus was cloned TWICE recently. Didn't they ride it at Thorpe? :? :-) Okay, okay, it is not THAT BAD but there are certainly bette...
