Re: The best water ride in The UK

It's the Rapids at AT for me but I wish someone would build a world class water ride in the UK.  I look at the water rides on the continent and there are so many that outclass our best.

Re: Future of the Dark Forest

The area to me just seems really messy with a lot of after-thought additions.  It doesn't quite do it for me.  Thirteen's station is amazing but that's where the good theming ends.  The concept art showed so great images of the coaster travelling through a window of a ruined church - ...

Air's extended queueline

I've never been down the extended queueline, I didn't actually realise it went all the way round there. I always looked up the hill towards the shelter and assumed it just came back down again. Looking at the BEV of AT it looks like a really great queueline.

Pleasurewood Hills - 2012: Drop Tower Up! + NEW Website

It's a great website, very modern and a great layout. A vast improvement in the old site. :) PWH are on the up!

Submission & Enterprise: Closed (SBNO) for 2012

This is very interesting news but at the same time it doesn't bode well for the ride line up. I think it would have been a better idea to permanently relocate one of the rides up to the dark forest and bolster the ride offering up there and then get in a new flat to compliment the opening of SW7.

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Fabbri Drop Zone 40m.  Apparently the park were unable to source the 60m drop tower so have bought a travelling model on a"temporary" basis.

An eagled eyed member of the UP community has spotted this http://www.britainsfinest.co.uk/photos/8000photos/800011013058-2.jpg on a couple of websites, along with the text: Pleasure you can Measure at Pleasurewood Hills in 2012! Re: Alton Towers Dreams: How Obsessed Are You?

When I first went to AT back in 1997, I had a dream very shortly afterwards that I can still remember to this day. It involved the walkway from The Haunted House to The Forbidden Valley. In the dream where the left hand turn up to the toilets is, that was a new ride and there was a vines that went i...

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

In more recent park news the Enterprise from Loudoun Castle has been spotted at the park.

If this comes then that will be the third new ride for next season not including the drop tower (which still hasn't been confirmed by the park)

English Football 2011/2012

One big win and suddenly Arsenal are in the race? They have had a better squad and better starts for the last 5 years and still won sweet FA!

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Just a quick update for Pleasurewood Hills. It has emerged over the past few weeks that more than one ride is to be installed for the 2012 season. In fact it's going to be a pretty busy year for the park. Firstly, there is obviously the drop tower which is 95% confirmed although the park are keeping...

Re: Dragons will NEVER duel again

This is crying shame! This is an attraction that I would have loved to ride in its previous state. If it is a problem due to loose articles surely the solution is to have all loose articles removed before riding.

These pictures are great, it's nice to see them resurface. It is amazing to see what Air could have been.

Re: Concorde - Would you like to see it fly again?

It's ironic. In the end, Concorde died not because it was too fast, but because it was too slow. I like that Blaze, did you write that line yourself? It sums it up perfectly. I was lucky enough to be at Heathrow when Concorde came in for the final time and it was very emotional. I was filming a new...

Re: New Cable-Car for London

I think there is a lack of roller coasters outside of theme-parks and funfairs here in the UK. I'd love to see some pop up in shopping centres for example. Certainly would make me happier to go shopping with the missus!

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

It has also emerged that an "International star" will have a show at the park next year. I am currently guessing that it is Kevin Cruise from BGT.
