Re: Camelot

Its crazy why knightmare wasnt bought by another park during closure as its a brilliant coaster.

Re: Duel: Retheme, Replace or Remove?

Whatever the rides future is I would be surprised if it was removed as it has a good ride system.

I believe it will get re-themed for many years to come.

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

I wish Spinball was re-themed into a dark coaster and was modified to run multiple trains to improve capacity

Re: Alton Towers Stargazing Pods - Opening April 12th 2019

The prices are just too high in my opinion. There is no way I’d pay more than £200 for a night with 2 day passes.

Re: SW9

I think SW9 will be another coaster but I think they need to change direction and add a water ride or dark ride with a good theme.

Re: Merlin General Discussion

Towers is in dire need of flat rides, cant they go down the lease route and add a couple every few years and just theme them well? Surely this would be a better move to keep things looking fresh in the park.

Re: Flamingo Land

Flamingoland is lacking a big out and back style coaster. They have decent coasters but are too compact and short. Time to give us that woodie!!!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

If they add a charge for this attraction it's yet another thing that puts me off going to the park.

I bet there will be a slight price increase in 2019 too as this wouldn't surprise me.

Towers is slowly becoming less value for money. Soon they will be charging for all the rides!!! Pure greed!

Re: Flamingo Land Sky Flyer

its a poor ride i think too it feels too controlled it should allow to loop freely somehow. while its good they are getting a new ride they could do with another small coaster i think.

Re: Slowed down Runaway Mine Train

i think it has got slower over time, its a former shell of what it used to be.
i always remember seeing the ads before opening on tv back in the day being excited
and it turned out to be an average powered coaster.

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

i think the monorail should retire soon and relocate the entrance. as for towers street keep that open and have the current entrance queue area become an entertainment / eating area? i bet the monorails running costs escalate every year and it makes sense to have an entrance near fv. Id somehow put ...

Re: SW8

i think if they do put a woodie near fv i think they could continue the theme of the chained oak theme for hex and like stated in other posts some type of tree forming out of the ground? im sure AT would put the effort in to paint the coaster a dark/rotting wood colour to help with this type of theme?

Re: SW8?

sw8 will be a family ride on a large scale i think. the smiler / sw7 was a thrill ride so it only makes sense their next addition caters for a family target audience. ive made it well clear they need to replace the flume NOW

TR Mon 1st July

First post in a very long time from me.... Got to the park just before 10am to find the main carpark areas very full. Lots of coaches were parked too so lots of school day trips i guess. I was shocked to find how much priority parking had gone up! only about 1 1/2 year ago i paid £10 its now £16 tha...

Re: So... about SW8

I think sw8 will be built on the log flume site. Some kind of water coaster im guessing or a valhalla clone.

Re: what will improve my gaming experience/performance?

Ive always prefered nvidia cards than ati. They always seem to be better quality cards and have always had issues with ati cards in the past on games. My current spec is: 2.4ghz quad core 8gb ram 1gb evga gtx 550ti. The 550ti card is a great budget card and can be picked up around £100 for a 1gb mod...

Re: Indoor rollercoaster needed for alton towers.

What about an indoor coaster with a castle theme up near coaster corner? It would  blend in well and thick walls could be used to soundproof etc? We could have a hex/thirteen crossover storyline?
