Re: General Discussion 2014

£10 for The Smiler Fast Track started last year?  It was an additional cost on top if you wanted to ride front row however.

Re: Merlin to take over Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

I think if the price was right BPB would sell. With anything really, say if you saw a brand new car you wanted and got offered it at an outstanding price would you really turn it down? I don't think so. Despite it being family owned or not Pleasure Beach has really lacked investment over the years a...

Re: Alton Towers Careers - Interviews and Job Advice

Not to be nit picky or anything but just to remind all people that are/going to apply for Towers that they DO read these forums and posting such stuff as the area, name, or any other information such as what side/department you work in really isnt doing you any favors. Take it from past experience, ...

Re: Drayton Manor- Out of Ideas?

When I had my customer service talk at the park a few years back all of what I have said have pretty much happened. The hotel was built and the park want to add a water park eventually. The Haunting was ment to be re-themed to Scooby Doo but for whatever reason fell through. Cartoon Network Street i...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

I gusse this is the last straw then and a very sad goodbye to the pirate theme at the park. First excalibur and now this.. pretty much sums up the Pirate theme IS going. Sad times.

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts

When it is eventually sold will it be a group sale or will all the attractions and brands be split up or is there somthing like a contract stating that all the Merlin attractions must remain together if that makes sense?

Blackpool Pleasure Beach General Discussion

Couldn't find a recent topic on this so sorry if there is! Having not visited Blackpool for quite a while we ventured there and I must say since I was young this place has changed alot and Blackpool in general. We had a fantastic day.. but everything seemed run down or looking tired. Apart from the ...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

2013 coaster is very unlikley. I think the parks main priority now is to put somthing on Excalbiur site rarther than just letting it sit there to rot. Litteraly. And also lack of funds kinda makes sense now aswell as Scooby Doo was planned this year as I mentioned a while back but fell through so it...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

wether this is legit or not ive spoke to some staff at the park (obviously I cant mention any names) but apparently the park are really struggling at the momment money and visitor wise? Re: Alton Towers 2012 in Review

I agree its great to see so much entertainment on off peak days! Especially the costume characters! Really brightened up my day to say the least! :) And I also agree about audio noticeably on Sonic, Katanga Canyon and Towers Street. I feel there isnt enough ''Bass'' on towers street as usual, Katang...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

I really do hope the audio becomes avalible I really enjoyed the ambient music. Potentially this could hold back next years planned rollercoaster otherwise theres going to be a big gap in the middle and it also looks asif The Haunting will be with us a few more years before Scooby arrives! Its reall...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

Breaking News Following the roumer about Excalbiur being removed I can now confirm that this roumer is indeed TRUE during a breifing with staff at inductions they were told that it will be removed by the end of the season. The reason behind it is its costing to much to maintain and its unreliable a...

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

The themeing you see in that picture was removed sadly to make way for Panning For Gems. It's a real shame as the ride did have some great themeing. Ah well we shall see main season whats what!

Re: Drayton Manor 2012 Season

If the roumer is true I will be abit sad as I enjoyed the ride when it was fully working. Although over time it did become some what of a wreck and the animatronics struggling to work I really enjoyed the music and quirkyness of the ride. I also do have a strong belief that it is somthing to do with...

Re: Drayton Manor Park Future

Im just trying to work out where the Fish & Chip shop is now? I've forgot  :? As for the green belt in so many years I think its 2021?  :? Drayton Manor actually get some of the land back of the council. And the circus area could actually hold a temporary structure/ride as it wont need...
