Re: People smoking outside of designated areas.

I think asking a member of staff is the best and safest option - I agree they could add more signage to some queue lines however, and make the signage already there consistent. At Fireworks and the concerts they host they could also add announcements every so often, it's not like it would detract fr...

Re: Rudeness to staff

That's a real shame to be honest. People like that make many people's day - experiences like guests shouting at you don't want to make you return for the next year.

Re: Rudeness to staff

E Cigs are fine for people to smoke where they want if you ask me, the problem is some staff members in all sorts of businesses are not trained to deal with people correctly, if you think about it, people who visit Alton Towers will come from all corners of the country, and I know for a fact that p...

Are the hotel windows that lookout to the water park sound proof and 1 way windows (You can look out but guests in the water park can't see you)?

Not sure about sound proof as Splash Landings is noisy anyway, but the windows aren't one way.  :)

Re: People smoking outside of designated areas.

Its a shame alton cant bring in 'smoking fines' for people say caught smoking in queue lines? It would soon put a stop to it! According to the park terms & conditions there is a fine! I've never seen it implemented though. I find it incredibly hypocritical also that the park continue to sell ci...

Re: Scarefest 2012: Quick Questions

Got a few questions Where can you buy a maze ticket for The Sanctuary, Carnival of Screams and so on... and can you buy them on the day without booking. And where abouts in the park will the mazes be. I've never tried the paid scaremazes and considering how good TOTT's was when I last when to scare...

Re: What IS the deal with single rider?!

It is not bad queue management, you are simply waiting in another place and you are certainly not waiting longer. They don't want to overcrowd the station areas so they hold people back, and when they are down to just a few single riders in the station, the station phones the merge point to send mor...

I have a Annual pass, would I have to pay extra?

No, there is no extra charge.

Does anybody know if the buses run later during Scarefest please? In particular the route from Stoke station? Thanks

In terms of closed shops, I visit the park 2-3 times a month, and I have still yet to see UNIT N:ST actually open! I heard it was meant to open on peak days, I went last Bank Holiday and it was even closed then!!

I would guess that is also a cut

I would try and get a flight to Salou (Airport called Reus) if possible like mentioned above - it is just 10 minutes away!

Re: PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

If you can get them, Hotel PortAventura/Villa Mediterranea OR Hotel Gold River. Both have direct park access and are very convenient. If you plan to use the waterpark, Hotel PortAventura/Villa Mediterranea is better located for that as there is no pedestrian access out of Hotel Gold River. I would w...

Re: PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

Hey there, I've been checking availability on the portaventura . co.uk site where it has like 50% of hotel on it, it looks and official and main site. Yes, if that doesn't work try PortAventura Holidays as mentioned above. Portaventura.co.uk is an official site run by PortAventura and portaventurah...

I fail to understand why this should mean Tomb Blaster is closed! You can enter through the Fastrack queue (which is still long enough) without using the bridges!

Re: Chessington Incident - 7.05.2012

I don't understand why they cannot continue to operate the ride, but have all guests use the Fastrack/Express line? This is not raised up and is entered from ground level. Is the actual ride closure more of a courtesy thing?

Re: Family room for 4 adults? More like 2 adults and 2 hobbits.

I would speak to Hotel Reception - they might be able to help and AT are usually very accommodating. I don't know if they are better but Alton Towers Hotel has rooms with sofa beds instead of bunk beds. I don't know whether they are any better?
