Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Can't help but notice the scale of this, I always thought it would be big, but these pics start to show just how big, perspective you just can't get from the air!! Looking at it now I can't help but think that the vertical chain lift will potentially have a detrimental effect on the ride experience....

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

A few things I'm going to point out for you JB, and anyone else who is doubting us, or our methods ATM: 1) When we originally reported the rumor of The Smiler as going for the inversion record, we stated that if that was the case, we believed that the most likely way to do that, based on the eviden...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

so do we think the sw is now in place as their putting footers in place which reduces access to the station area and yellow box No the SW wasn't currently in place at the time of the images being taken. So "the sw" has yet to be installed/has now been! Implication being that there will be...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Just adding to the construction discussion!! Team TTF, did you "invent" washing machine element??? Blocking out areas to restrict construction discussion in the spoilers topic is a little frustrating! If not patronising. We have not invented anything. The 'washing machine' was largely spe...

Re: 2014-2019: Possible Developments?

Could parking not be moved completely and have all visitors get in via a monorail extension. Then your freeing up space that is currently used for cars to expand and develop the towers without the need for additional parking???

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

What we know: ⋅  The station needs planning consent, the track is the opposite ⋅ Noise pollution is one of the park's biggest hindrances ⋅ The track shown on the application is not as important as the potential noise ⋅ The park NEEDS to ensure that the noise e...

Re: 2012: New Attractions

Re: SW6 Ride & Construction discussion.

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

hi all back to the whole BM thing, although most of us have ruled out BM because of the track etc, and the fact that we don't think that they need to invest in development. how would have the dive machine have come about, they had to re design the track for that, the development of the flying coaste...

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

could this be a steel framed wooden tracked coaster, i remember reading that one of the manufactures had developed a launched wood coater and trains?

so it could be launced up the "lift hill" and also launced backwards around the helex?

or is that all just wishfull thinking?
