Drive 'Altonia'

Hello, A bit of background on me - I model for Microsoft Train Simulator and have done now for 6 years creating a variety of miniature gauge and narrow gauge models. It is a relatively old simulator and several new ones have appeared on the market, however I still prefer working with MSTS. I have re...

Re: "Altonia" Locomotive Article

Altonia didn't sell from what I've heard... Dunrobin and Golspie (Trentham Flyer and Trentham Express respectively) were added in 1993 when the line was doubled up to add a second non-connected parallel track. Dunrobin (Green I believe) was the only one of the two to run at Towers and is now running...

Copy of Alton Towers Leaflet

Hello, Could someone who has a copy of the 2011 Alton Towers Map do me a massive favour and scan me a copy of the text (non-map) sides? Same as this, but as scans rather than photographs. Re: Pink to play at Alton Towers Concert in 2010

If we are heading up on the Monday (28th) to Towers, will it still be a case that we head to the main entrance or does Pink change this?

Re: Little site suggestion

Rather than starting another thread for a little site suggestion, thought I would post in here.

Underneath the Attraction Index page, the Adventureland box still says Spinball Whizzer and has a thumbnail of the old colours of Spinball Whizzer.

Yes...I know its a little thing...

Re: UK General Election 2010

It was indeed a very interesting debate last night.

As a first time voter, it helped me a lot to start to understand certain things.

Clegg by far did the best job, Brown and Cameron just seemed like two schoolboys at time arguing and winding each other up!

Happy Birthday Towers!

Here's to another 30...

...And another 30...

...And another 30.

By then hopefully we'll have the worlds first inverting, vertical drop + freefall drop coaster which flies.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but when some people in my party tried to use them last year we were told they couldn't be accepted. #-o

They were in Saturday's paper, page 30 if I remember correctly? I haven't got a copy to hand, but it was in there because I cut it out.

Re: Ug Land / Rita 2010

I'm guessing Rita's name will be remaining the same. Taken from the Ultimate Event 2010 Page. "With a brand new ride for 2010, Thirteen, alongside legends such as Nemesis, Air and Rita this year’s event is going to be packed with more ride time than ever before." [url=http://www.altontowe...

Re: Alton Towers Railway - what happened to the locos?

When I went in June, I couldn't see a great deal. I believe the only thing you can really see now is part of the platform at the Log Flume behind the big double gates.

Re: Chemical leak at Chessington today

I agree, the only area it seemed to be signed from, was the path from behind Dragon Falls. It is a strange attraction, although I'm guessing it probably gives quite a lot of marketing towards the target market which is probably similar to the target market of the park. The inside of the attraction ...

Re: Beanoland Replacement

Sadly, the zoo seems to be the main area which Chessie is trying to promote at the moment. At least they are going to do something with Beanoland, I think its a shame to loose that theme because the Beano theming was at least very well done and for the first few years it did look very good. Sadly, ...

Re: Quick Questions 2009

Does Alton Towers have any lost property service?

I know its a long shot, but I think I may have left my necklace on Air yesterday and wondered if there was even the slightest chance that it may have been recovered.

Cheers

What resturants are open to non hotel guests after park closing time?

And for these resturants does anyone have any menus or rough prices?

Re: YourDay Closed?

Would be nice to think it is going to re-open, but I get the feeling its a bit of Wikipedia nonsense, unless Alton are going to run it themselves, I can't see it re-opening.
