However...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Looks fantastic! Also if anyone's interested, that's a rather ancient AW109, the precursor to the aircraft I work on - the AW139.. Also another funny fact - the registration (which is obviously stolen) actually belongs to one of the aircraft in our fleet I have worked on :P http://www.abpic.co.uk/im...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

A few construction pics are here - http://rideguidegroup.com/site/viewtopi ... 101&p=3042

The important thing from this being that in the 4th picture if you look close enough in the bottom left, the chopper is onsite! :D

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Although I like the music itself, I don't think it suits the ride at all. It needs to be dark, slow atmospheric music.

I would like to hear something similar to anything from any Gears of War game, the title music from GoW1 would be amazing! :D

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Resident aircraft engineer reporting for duty :P As Will has pointed out, the casing of the engines appears to be real, however - the blades are not a correctly curved shape for a turbine engine, there is no sign of discolouration due to heat/cold (if they are titanium) and also the clearance around...

Re: Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 21

I was also very disappointed with HHN this year. This year was my 5th visit to HHN, but also the first time since I have been to THN at EP, and I just didn't find it scary at all, probably due to a combination of - being desensitized due to THN, a total lack of any of their previous characters (Jack...

Re: TTF Fantasy Premier League 2011

It's always a bitter pill for a Premier League regular team to be given a run for their money by a newly promoted smaller team :P. it was a relatively even match and Norwich were robbed on the card, doubt the Canaries would of lost points if they kept 11 men. ;)

Re: TTF Fantasy Premier League 2011

I had Ruddy on the bench :( 1 point for Joe Hart instead!

Have to rely on United giving Spurs a tonking tomorrow now to rescue my score this week!

Re: Papa Johns v Dominos

I'm voting for neither of them, and instead placing an individual vote for Pizza Express! I lived off their carbonara pizza for 4 weeks when I worked in Aberdeen - Pizza Hut is nothing but stodge, the only Papa Johns near me is on a Haven campsite and I cant go in to get one and Dominos is ridiculou...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Being one of the biggest GOW fans, I would love to see that happen, but i'm going to crush this rumor right now because Gears of War is set far into the future on an alien world called Serra - where they have space ships and thruster powered hovering aircraft (not crashed 747's and Puma helicopters ...

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

There is no reason that Pleasurewood Hills could not pull it out of the bag and surprise us with wood. However, in today's society, we all know that the chances of any kind of wood in a UK theme park is looking un-likely. :( The area already has one world class woodie ;) As previously stated, the p...

Re: Funland Trocadero Forcibly Closed

I've seen this coming for a long time, sega world was absolutely brilliant when I was a kid with all the high tech attractions, it was the first place I played one of those 3D games with the visor :D. Its been very sad to see it decline over the years of visiting until now when its pretty much point...
