Re: Why Don't People Like Rita?

The biggest issue I have is the theming. I really don't like how the park wasn't original when creating the Dark Forest, they just made Rita look like it was "overcome by weeds". If they had actually completely changed this theming then I would accept it more. As a ride it is enjoyable, bu...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I know it's incredibly disappointing, but isn't it better that all these issues happen sooner rather than later? The Smiler doesn't have an extreme technicalities like Air or Thirteen, so surely once these issues are resolved then it will run smoothly in the long run. I'd rather this happened than ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I'm really confused as to why the queues are so big today? Not only for The Smiler but all round. When you think that all schools are back and it's a monday. Maybe it's just me?!?

Re: SW8 - B&M for the Air car park?

I think something in Gloomy Wood following the "haunted" theme. Gloomy Wood only has one ride and I personally feel it would be a great area to develop. I know that space is an issue as Duel does take up the area behind and there isn't enough space in front, but perhaps somewhere in betwee...

Re: Messages for John Wardley

John,

you have helped make me the person I am today (no...seriously!) and you brought fun into my childhood. Thank you very much for all your hard work and bringing smiles to the coaster enthusiasts all over the world!

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Could someone going soon take some pictures of how it blends in with the rest of X Sector? Obviously I have an idea in my mind of what it is like but it would be awesome if someone could take some photos of the entire area including Oblivion!

Thanks, all my love  :D

I love the sound of Oblivion entering the hole in the background in all these videos, it all seems to fit together rather nicely!  8)

Re: Heide Park: B&M "Krake" 2011

That advert is brilliant in terms of drawing attention, if it was in this country would it have to be after the watershed?

Re: Celebrities at AT

I saw Austin Healey (Ex-England Rugby Star) at Alton Towers a few years ago. Many of you might not know who he is but he now works for ESPN rugby and BBC Six Nations Coverage. He was a nice enough guy, I suppose no one knew who he was so he was left alone! :D

Re: Duel's future

I feel that Duel needs to be turned into a more realistic ride, I do like it at the moment, but there are still areas that lose the theme, like areas where you can see the corrugated iron walls of the building, I think just small things like convering that up can make a big difference. :D Also lose ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2011

Does it not anger anyone how this ride is still advertised as a high thrill on the advert, yet really it is a family orientated ride? Or is that just me?! :)

Purchasing Old Alton Towers Maps.

I didn't see this anywhere so I thought I'd start a new topic! I was wondering do any members know where I can buy old park maps from 1994 - 2003? (Preferably not eBay as I have checked but don't know whether to trust the site). I would even be willing to buy old maps from any members on this forum!...

*cough* Thorpe Park *cough*.

No I'm kidding when I got stuck on the rapids at Thorpe the staff were very helpful. I think all Merlin staff in the UK overall are good. :)

Re: Heide Park: New Coaster B&M Confirmed

So this is likely to be a floorless dive machine? I think a junior coaster sounds good, if it has 6 per row to it will be lighter and more "manouverable" if you know what I mean! :D
