Re: Champions League 08/09

Mr Ferguson was once again found out against the top class opposition tactically. It's all well and good throwing on attackers when you are behind against the dross in the premier league , but against Barca you just get torn apart. What United needed was an extra defensive midfielder to combat the r...

Re: What is next to go?

I don't think removing any flats is a good idea barring Submission, one or two more flats are needed on top what they already have in my opinion

Re: On Ride Photo: Price Increases.

It was too expesnive as it was, hopefully the public don't buy them and they are forced to drop their prices. It's going to get to the point where its £10 for a photo and £40+ to enter the park by 2012 at this rate of price increases, it is ridiculous.

Re: Barclays Premier League: 2008/09 Season

XD Benetiz failed. Ah well next season we'll get it although we do tend to say that same thing each and every season at around this time. Benitez hasn't failed at all, he is the best manager we've had since the Premier League era has begun, this is the best team we've had in the Premier League era,...

Re: Barclays Premier League: 2008/09 Season

I think it will be Hull and either Boro or Newcastle to go down along with West Brom of course. Well done to Stoke who secured premier league football for next season today. Say what you want about them, and I'm not their biggest fan, but they have done a terrific job this season

Re: Barclays Premier League: 2008/09 Season

TAKE THAT MANCS! :D :D I don't really care if we don't win the league, they will win the league losing to us twice making it a more of a hollow victory. "Rafa's cracking up" Beating Real Madrid 4 - 0 and the mancs 4 -1 in the same week! Surely one of the best weeks in the club's hist...

Re: Barclays Premier League: 2008/09 Season

Another day where none of the Top 4 win, just leaves Chelsea tomorrow and judging by how this season is going I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham did draw. I'm so frustrated with Liverpool, today Benitez showed his one true weakness, not throwing caution to the wind in games like these. We have to r...

Re: Snow Watch 2008/2009

Had fun in the snow on Tuesday, shame school wasn't closed though. There was loads forecast for today but it never came, which was especially annoying seeing as I had to do my mock GCSE English exam today. Gutted

Re: Corkscrew: The End of an Era.

I agree it'd go great in the Potteries centre, maybe near the main entrance. I wonder how much it'll actually go for, I suspect there will be major action in the last 10 minutes of the auction. :)

Re: Rugby's Autumn Internationals

I'm glad thats over, those Autumn Internationals were pretty much a disaster. At the moment we're probably playing at are worst since the 2003 world cup, and that including the shambles that was Andy Robinson

Come to think of it, I've never properly apprreciated how good RMT looks. The theming is great so I'd also go for RMT

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon 6

I would prefer it if a higher capacity flat were to be placed on ug swingers footprint than the robot arms, as it will be needed to soak up the huge crowds that the new ride is going attract

Re: Your Preferred Row

Nemesis - Front Row for the amazing views and also the feeling of the wind hitting your face. Back row for the more intense ride, on the far left is awesome Rita - Front Oblivion - Front although out of about 12 rides on it i've only been on the front row twice :? . Seeing as its a 50 50 chance of w...

Re: Best & worst ride at Alton Towers...

Best - I'm torn between Nemesis and Oblivion, both are amazing rides.
Worst - Certainly Submission, a terrible ride and the restraints on it are horrible

Re: Which Rides Do You Not Ride?

I always avoid riding Submission, its the single most painful ride experience I've endured probably. I would only go on Battle Galleons if there was a decent weather.

Re: Rugby's Autumn Internationals

England v Australia is going to be an interesting one, both sides are under new regimes and starting their long term preparations for the 2011 world cup. When we played them in the world cup last it wasn't the best of matches, but the players were oustanding. Hopefully there will be a similar perfor...

Re: Against the Death Penalty and have Facebook?

I don't think killing is the easy way out at all. If you have seen any of the prisons, they are actually fairly luxurious, some have TVs and even computers. I saw somewhere that it costs as much per week to pay for a prisoner than it would cost to stay at a luxury hotel for a week. The death penalty...

Re: Against the Death Penalty and have Facebook?

No I didn't and I apologise for that . However surely it costs less to kill someone rather than have them in prison for 30 years and providing them with food, clothing etc. if it doesn't then I really can't understand why

Re: Next retheme/refurb

I take your point on a Spinball retheme being unlikely Chris, Its not going to happen for a long while at least, if at all. However I think when they planned the ride they should have taken into account that a pinball theme is too specific and now it has created basically a complete mish mash of the...
