Re: Any future for the Wooden Coaster?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but with the elections coming up, is it possible that the policies on Planning permission would be different with different parties? Maybe a more relaxed party could make these plans more possible?

Re: SW6 Ride discussion Part 2

Im also pretty dubious as to whether theres any truth in it, Screamscapes like the transfer gossip in the sun. I prefer Surrender though.

Re: SW6 Ride discussion Part 2

I read somewhere that Intamins new square supports make the coasters quieter, so I was thinking maybe the weaker Bi-rail/ more supports where quieter than the Stronger tri-rail/ less supports ratio. If you get what I mean haha, just a thought.

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

Blue Fire has really brought them up to Intamin's level - they have shown they can easily match them at Intamin's own game. I can see what your saying about Blue Fire, I think that model definitely matches Intamin. However it depends what you call Intamins game, I think a lot of people don't look p...

Re: SW6 Construction

The longest coaster in the UK? I really doubt it tbh, with The Ultimate at lightwater valley being 7442 ft long!
Good too hear that there sounds like there's a lot of workers on site.

Re: SW6 Construction

Id put my money on catch car right now, they seem to be installing them on most of the rides that have lift hills, in fact, excluding woodies they haven't had a chain lift since 2006. Also, like the post above says, the gradient is pretty smooth, so wouldn't rule out an accelerated propulsion, but a...

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

I know in the planning permission it said it would have hydraulics, and chances are, this will probably be in the special section. I was thinking though, if it was a drop, Intamin would use LSM technology, like in there drop towers, they can drop a platform under free-fall safely, its rare it would ...

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

[I just don't see Intamin designing a drop section or a double-switchback if that's what it is. In which case I think it'll be Vekoma, an in-house design or some random hydraulics company, though the former would be preferrable. That the only thing that puzzles me... why? I know that Vekoma have do...

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

I don't understand this, Intamin aren't the best for the job? Intamin are the kings of air time, there Hypers, Mega-Lite and Pre-fab woodies respected as the best in the world, for airtime I think certainly, T-Express, El Toro, Balder, SROS/Bizzaro, Expedition Everest, Kawasemi, Piraten, Millenium f...

Re: SW6 Ride Discussion

Great new, in fact i couldn't have hoped for a better manufacturer for this kind of ride  An Mega-Lite adaptation as well... Wow, although i doubt this one will quite pack the punch as the existing ones, the hills will be great knowing intamin are pretty much the kings of ejector airtime! T...

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

^ The only problem I can see with that though would be the track sections. Yeah, they do use bi-track on EE, however on what looks to be the less intense parts, most of the track looks like this http://www.bigfloridacountry.com/Everest20040301Track.JPG Which would suggest to me that if the coaster w...

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

Yeah, we have The threads here for for speculation.. which is pretty much over! No ones going to post fake viral videos, possibly revealing the theme because they know something any more because; 1. No one takes them seriously any more. 2. They could jeopardize the chance of AT making a real viral c...

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

The poem was interesting!

But the video wasn't selling it to me, only in high quality... i have thought it would have put in HD, and the video of Nottingham... irrelevant?
Im pretty certain I could do something similar/ better in an hour with my camera and Sony Vegas tbh!

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three

^ Well.. the reasoning for having tri and quad tracks on Intamins are because of the forces the track comes under, so less forces they would have bi-rail, more forceful tri-rail, even more forceful quad-rail. So SW6 if it was Intamin (which i hope it is  ) could have tri or quad track in the b...
