Re: The ride you have queued up the longest for at Alton is???

2 hours for Th13teen, April 2010. Queues were pretty decent all day and I got a few goes on it, but then I decided to go on it last and it started having issues...

Re: On-Ride Breakdown's Experience's

Funnily enough, most of my breakdown experiences were all on the same day. First off there was my first trip to Alton in 2007. We were held in Oblivion's brake run for a good 10 minutes. Then there was 29th September 2009... First up was Hex. Right at the very end of the ride with the massive face, ...

For those wondering what became of Altonia, look no further:

So happy to see it not only operational, but with some of its former coaches.

Re: Memories of getting stuck on a ride at Alton Towers

First time I went in 2007, I was stuck in Oblivion's brake run for about 5 or 10 minutes. It was interesting... Then there was my trip from 2009. During ERT I went on Hex. Right at the end when the face starts flashing, all the effects stopped. The music kept going though. Everything just kinda froz...

http://cache.rcdb.com/hq2843rdg1np000d4ld3n1.jpg This. The Runaway Train at Paulton's Park. I was very young when I first went on it, and my mum has a fear of rollercoasters or any sort of intense ride (Hex makes her sick, and being under Air scares her). I wanted to go on this because of my natura...

Re: Facebook status's that really drive you nuts

"That awkward moment..." statuses. They just annoy me, and I don't know why.
Same goes for the  ones based on the "arrow to the knee" meme from Skyrim.

Re: X:\ No Way Out's pyramid of dreams

Am I the only one that actually likes this ride? You aren't alone! Call me a madman, but I love X:NWO. The insanity of it being backwards is something I find quite enjoyable, especially since I first went on it a week after Th13teen. I think it just needs refurbishing. Although knowing Thorpe, I do...

Re: The 'I Feel Down' Topic

This week, I started my second year of University... So, we were given our timetables, and they said we only had to go in 2 days a week. That's fine. First lesson, we're told we're all doing client work. Very different to the multiple small exercises we had to do last year. Not keen on client work.....

As of last month, 8 times on Th13teen. Five times in a row. Two literally.

Beats my previous record of 5 on Space Mountain.

Came back from a fantastic trip to the park last night. There was a little package waiting for me from Adobe.

Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 - Master Collection.

Re: Popular rides you don't usually bother with

I've been going since 2007, and I only went on The Flume once back then. I didn't find it very exciting apart from the final drop, and I'm not really a fan of water rides (unless they're the rapids). I don't go on Rita as much as I used to. I'll get a couple of rides in, but it's not something I'd w...

September 21/22 - Well, here we are again.

Hey ho, lucky me, I managed to convince my dad to take me for a 2 day trip again. We drove up in the early hours of Wednesday, staying at The Warren overnight. In retrospect, we should've had 2 nights there, as neither of us are good with mornings, and we had a little traffic problem near Birmingham...

Re: A General Census

What's your favorite themed area? Katanga Canyon. It's a difficult choice, but I've always loved the consistency of the theme. What's your favorite coaster? Nemesis, no doubt. What's your favorite ride (non-coaster) ? Hex. As much as I love Duel for its competitiveness, nothing can beat the atmosph...

Re: Say Something Negative About Nemesis

The end of the ride is so typical. It just stops in the station instead of breezing on through to do another 5+ laps of the track.

I found the answer somewhere on the Microsoft website: To install the game: 1. Go to the CD or DVD and right click the installer. 2. Go to "properties" then go to the "compatibility" tab. 3. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" 4. Select "Windows 95...

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

I just found a way to install Windows XP (and older) games on Windows 7.

The Sims, Lego Island, Grand Theft Auto, Age of Empires, it all works again!
I'd play them all now, but I need sleep.

Right. Let me see... 1. I'm a lifelong fan of steam locomotives. 2. I'm a railway modeller, and I visit exhibitions regularly. 3. I love rollercoasters and Alton Towers. 4. I have created a series of characters based on Alton Towers rides. 5. I am a cosplayer. 6. I like/want to cosplay obscure chara...
