Interesting Dark rides To Go On

'La Defil De Ceaser' at Park Asterix is my favourite dark rise I have ridden. It's (to me at least) far better than Hex and Villa Volta and each pre-show is interesting, and in some cases even rather beautiful. The actual mad-house vault is brilliant too, because to be honest, I find they can be rat...

Favourite Songs/ Artists at the Moment!

Music died on the 24th of November 1991, and there hasn't been any decent music since. I'm not too sure if you are being serious here, but that's slightly ignorant. There still is plenty of great current music, you just need to try and find it! A joke. Learn how to spot one. ;) I thought it may hav...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I have to admit, I'm extremely disappointed by the fencing around the ride. Just compare it to what was around Oblivion's construction site.

Ah, well, can't complain about everything. I really fail to see how a DNA-spiral automatically means a storyline, though.

Re: Official Oakwood Thread!

I'm visiting Oakwood again at some point next week, and considering it's likely to be one of my only theme park visits this year, I'm really looking forward to it. However, the severe lack of any change whatsoever since my last visit (two years ago) and just how empty the park was, is rather depress...

The "I feel happy" Topic

Still some things getting me down, but I'm coping so much better now. I also attained an 100% mark in the Ethics exam I thought I did ever so mediocrely in back in January. Which is nice. :)

Merlin plan Weymouth Observation Tower

And yet again Merlin are building a new attraction down South, do us Northerners not deserve attractions to make MAPs better value for money? We've got Blackpool, York Dungeons and Sealife Scarborough, and that's it. I think you'll find that this and two sea life sanctuaries are the only Merlin-own...

Parc Asterix 2012: "Oz'Iris" B&M Invert!

This must the first half decent coaster at Asterix? Have you never heard of Tonnere De Zues? That's far more than half-decent, it's one of the best woodies in Europe! :) I do agree, though, that this coaster really will throw Asterix into a different league. I visited in the summer of 2010, and whi...

Your Favourite place to eat in The Towers and why?

Burger King. That way Merlin don't make any money. Are you seriously implying that Burger King are a more ethical company that Merlin? Are you seriously implying that you thought I was being serious? I wasn't sure wether you were making a joke or not, hence me asking if you were being serious. :p

PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

I really don't know what the problem is to be honest, it adds even more to the already fantastic Port Aventura skyline. I think it's mostly the fact that it burdens another part of the skyline. All the skyline is really is Dragon Khan, Hukurian Condor and this, and it would look miles better if it ...

Re: TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: THE FINAL! VOTE NOW!

Joe - just to throw my thoughts into the mix - Expedition Ge Force beats Goliath to a pulp. Airtime is far stronger, and the first drop many times more exciting. I appreciate that it may not be all that easy from a POV, but hey ho! :) Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk I have heard that, I just ...

TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: THE FINAL! VOTE NOW!

My votes, it took me a long time to decide wether I was fully content with this, but I think I am now. Just to clarify, I have not ridden any coasters present in the final, so it's all judged on reviews and POVs. #10: iSpeed - Looks competent, in fact the first half looks great. However, it really d...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

Can I just say? Anyone who's being skeptical as to wether the ride will remain true to the X-Sector theme, just needs to look out how they've integrated Sub-Terra into Forbidden Valley without altering any of the theme or it's origins. I can only realistically hope that they continue with this consi...

TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: SEMI FINAL 1: VOTE NOW!

10: Fluch Von Novgorod - Looks like a superior Saw. Good, but not great. Maybe I'm wrong... May i ask your reasons for putting FVN last? To me, it just seems like the perfect coaster when you put into account the themeing, thrill elements and layout? (Yes i know its a eurofighter...  :P) It is...

Europa-Park 2013: Family Rollercoaster.

Europa using an IP?

I find it slightly hypocritical how people seem to be pleased with this, whereas when Merlin use one uproar over originality concurs.

Still, I'm being optimistic about finally getting to Europa in 2013, and this doses look like it's due to be another great asset to the park.

TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: SEMI FINAL 1: VOTE NOW!

Tough group, and I can't help believing I've made the wrong choices, but here goes - 10: Fluch Von Novgorod - Looks like a superior Saw. Good, but not great. Maybe I'm wrong... 9: Twister - Brilliant-looking woodie, but not brilliant enough to be considered top-ten worthy. 8: El Toro - As above. 7: ...

TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: Round 2, Group 5: VOTE NOW!

The hype and hysteria around VHF is that a few people (me, for example) went on it last year and we really enjoyed it. The overall experience it offers is superb. With super theming and a very punchy layout - with some corners and bends that make you genuinely shriek! There's some mist screens, lot...

Re: TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: Round 2, Group 5: VOTE NOW!

My votes, it took me a while to organise the ordering in my mind, but I think I'm remotely happy with this - #10: Van Hesling's Factory - I don't see the hype and hysteria surrounding this coaster. It looks a reasonable enclosed family coaster, but the top 20 coasters in Europe? Really? It's not eve...

I'm intrigued by your placings here. Not because I disagree, but just because throughout the competition you were saying how launched coasters weren't your thing, whereas woodies are?

I'll get round to voting tomorrow, seems a good group. :)
