Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

I think the focus seems to be on minimal upkeep and maintenance to their themed areas. Would be nice for something fresh and clean with a distinct theme again.
Saying that it would be a tragedy to add level of detail such as Colossus' and just let it rot again.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

sorry if a bit off topic, yet how would people feel about a this coaster being themed like Oziris at Parc Asterix, how would an egyptian area be for Thorpe, just looked at some videos, and the theming is AMAZING!!! I think any theme that is not 'abandoned warehouse', 'post apocalyptic', 'merlin shi...

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

I'm personally expecting to see some sort of mini Hyper in Canada Creek coming next, with a wooden coaster on the island behind The Swarm to follow.

Re: Cedar Point 2013: B&M Wingrider

So, let's get this straight: Cedar Point will have removed two classic family coasters in the space of two years? Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using Tapatalk Although I guess they are losing their lower height restriction coasters, tbh I wouldn't really call them classic coasters. They both loo...

Re: PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

As much as I like a nicely flowing queue line that takes in a lot of the ride (such as Blue Fire or Nemesis), I can live with a standard zig zag cattle pen as long as it moves at a steady pace. One thing I don't like are the cattle pen queue lines that are packed into a small space but keep going ba...

UK's Best Water Ride?

I like Dragon Falls as it looks all pretty. I suppose Valhalla is probably the best though , but I don't really like getting wet on rides!

Re: Off Peak Closure of SkyRide and Other Cuts

I'm sure this has already been mentioned but let's assume that the park backs down to peer pressure on this (it's happened before with Fanta and Ents/Subs) due to another uproar by guests and a hammering of their Facebook wall. They will be sure to put another plan in place to make that significant ...

Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm and General Discussion

Fire effects on the fire engine have been working today, not sure if it's just testing but hopefully it will be working full time very soon.

The death of the (remaining) magic

For me, I haven't really felt much change since the 'The Honest Truth' thread. It was around that period where I made a conscious decision to visit Alton Towers less. It felt neglected. It still feels neglected. I have no plans currently for future visits to the park, and I'm not at all bothered by ...

Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

As for the Car Park some cars could be staff cars and the others only 1 or 2 people in them not carrying large familys. This is true, but this would always have been the case. It was strange today. Very busy car park, very busy walkways around the park, very short queues. Apart from Inferno, where ...

Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I left about five tonight and the car park was pretty much full (apart from the grassy bit at the back). So definitely not a bad day, but still very short queues.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Just back from a day at Thorpe Park. I have to say I was concerned when I arrived, with the rapidly filling up car park and warm weather, followed by what was advertised to be a 70 min Swarm queue. The queue was about 20 mins as it turned out, and although the park seemed pretty damn busy, queues we...

Re: PortAventura 2012: "Shambhala" B&M Mega Coaster

Layout looks great. Tunnel looks pants, I am hoping that it is just unfinished.
Seems they are going into a lot of themeing detail around the station and ride area. I just can't see them leaving that monstrosity!!

The only saving grace is what looks to be a Blue Fire-style final inline roll.

Sam, your recent posts seem to show more enthusiasm than the one above  ;)

I like the look of this coaster.  As AstroDan said, it's very MegaLite-y.

Re: Thorpe Park 2015 Coaster

A coaster similar to EGF would look great in a Canada Creek setting (similarly to the area EGF is surrounded by), although if Thorpe were to get an Intamin hyper it probably be the new ugly track style of Skyrush / Intimidator 305. I crave for a B&M hyper coaster in this country though, I would ...

These images were posted on TPR (by DJ-javixxxxx) a few days ago, showing some of the detailing around the ride area. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IWEzW3obf2g/T5mIG5S7R8I/AAAAAAAAAkU/mt49O7BpvSg/s1600/Detalle+China.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DCQKJF4RnGo/T5maHlI-boI/AAAAAAAAAlM/M5I99YUpIgQ/s1600/Deta...

Re: Mirabilandia 2012: "Divertical" Intamin Water Ride

This ride looks poor.
I am hoping that once it is landscaped and themed, it will fit into the area quite nicely, but in my opinion it just looks ugly. And a very poor ride. Such a shame when it is surrounded by the likes of Katun, iSpeed and Reset Anno Zero.
