Re: Paultons Park

Windmill Towers is an odd one. From the image it looks to be a family drop tower with a rotating base that seats 10 riders per tower which seems odd as they already have "Magma" which is only a few years old and very similar?

Brilliant teasers and theming though

West Midland Safari Park, Hotel & Water Park???

Hi, Does anyone know what's going on with the WMSP Hotel and Water Park? The park got planning permission approved back in September 2015 and publicly announced that the Water Park would open in 2017 and the hotel in 2020 yet I've not seen or heard anything regarding this project for a few years? Is...

Re: Drayton Manor

I believe the refurbishment of The Haunted was well overdue as the ride was looking very tired and outdated for many years. I like the added theming that's been placed in the queue line. The ride itself does feel like it's been made more "family friendly".

Re: Paultons Park 2015 & 2016

This is exciting news for Paultons. Ever since Pepper Pig World this park has been going from strength to strength. Hope they keep it up.

Re: Fun City Brean

Hi Jamie, I can confirm Speed Wave has been sold to James Mellor and was shipped to Dubai in August/September 2014. It's now operating as part of "Fantasy Island" in the Global Village. A video of the ride in it's current location can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHtrIJvgm...

Re: Fright Nights

On Saturday some of the mazes had 3 hour queues!!! I wouldn't even like to guess the capacity of a place like Thorpe but I would be interested to see how much money they are taking per a day with park entry, food, drinks, fast track and parking and everything else. Most on park food outlets will be ...

Re: 2014: "Howl-o-ween"

Visited Chessington's Hall'o'ween event for the first time yesterday (Sunday 26th October 2014). Quite impressed with the event in general with a good scattering on Halloween theming. "The Haunting in the Hollows" was really good and quite scary for a family orientated theme park which I e...

Re: Fright Nights

I've been told Thorpe Park hit full capacity today and we're forced to turn away customers. If your planning on visiting this week please ensure you pre book your tickets to guarantee yourself entry. The park was also rammed during my visit on Saturday 25th October with all overflow car parks being ...

Re: Warwick Castle Halloween

We went back in 2012 and it was great. Haunted Hollow during the day was just fun but the "adult" walkthrough haunted attraction in the castle was very very well done. Apparently last year they added a haunted seance in the gaol dungeon too which got good reviews. I can confirm the Gaol D...

Re: BlackGang Chine

When I was at IoW a live comedian described BlackGang Chine as

"Disneyland when all the rides are shut"

Which I think is a pretty good description

Re: BlackGang Chine

The new attraction is simply a forest walk with added model dinosaurs and sound effects. I looked into this a few weeks back when I was on the IoW but didn't go to the park as it seems very expensive for adults. You can however get a good view of the park from the public viewing point and picnic are...

Re: Warwick Castle Halloween

Warwick Castle has started releasing some details about this years "Haunted Castle" event. Looks like most of last years attractions will be returning including The Castle Dungeon, The Witches Tower, The Haunted Hollows, Paranormal Investigation and the Séance. The main Halloween attractio...

Re: Fright Nights

I'm not happy that they are limiting tickets to MAP holders. Halloween is the main reason I bought my MAP and this means I've got to get everything planned out early as I'll have to visit during a weekend. I really hope Alton don't do this too.

Re: Fun City Brean

I'm guessing John is some kind of children's entertainer? To be fair he was quite good at presenting the show (I only managed to see 5mins). I'm not sure where Richard is staying but I'm guessing he's not around much this summer due to his touring. I got there around 2ish. It was only a flying visit...

Re: Fun City Brean

That's not a good sign if they can even get their own company name right! I popped down this afternoon and nothing has changed just yet. The park was extremely busy with queues building on most rides! Sooty is still everywhere on park and the live Sooty shows are still going ahead (although Richard ...

Re: Fun City Brean

The park is now owned by a company called "Booth Group" which is owned by Phil Booth.
They also own 2x Hotels, A nightclub and a health club in South Wales.

I don't like the sound of this.

What the hell is going on with this park?

I see Richard is doing a lot of touring with Sooty this year. 50 Live shows this summer alone!

Re: Warwick Castle Halloween

In the past the Haunted Hollow has remained family friendly thought the day and evening although it is much better in the dark. Personally I'd love to see another attraction for us adults but I don't think extreme Haunted Hollow would work.

Re: Warwick Castle Halloween

Hi thedman31, Yes I have visited Warwick Castle for their Halloween event for the last 2 years and plan to return again this year. Personally I think it's a great event with something for everyone :D For the last two years they have run an event called "The Haunted Castle" over the Hallowe...
