Re: The Roller Coaster Layout Game

Hmm, I wouldn't say it is wrong, rather slightly altered to make a certain feature more visible. Otherwise the layout is correct (down to the approximate profile of the turns). Edit: how dare you edit in the correct name Sam198, yes that is correct. I took the decision to put emphasis the sky loop s...

Re: The Roller Coaster Layout Game

none correct so far.
This should be interesting as it is an obscure roller coaster.

A clue is:
It is a Unique, extended, variant of an 'off the shelf' coaster.
 well done, you may have the honor of drawing a squiggly line which vaguely resembles a roller coasters track layout.

Re: SW1 & SW2 Challenge

I once made a 'as near as possible' recreation of SW2 on NL. Unfortunately it is on one of my old computers, I might be able to find it and retrieve images of it at some point. The SW2 recreation was mainly based on the photo of the model, for the basic layout, and the height limit of 30m. The profi...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Sods Law is going all out on the smiler, delay after delay, problem after problem. AT management will be furious with all this, especially at the damage caused by the stalling train (it sounds as if it ground its way along the track instead of rolling). This ride is turning into what seems to be one...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The problem with The Smiler is that it has such a dense track layout that the queue line is forced in close to the tracks, in those areas the (almost inevitable) occasion that someone climbs a fence it is almost certain that a train could hit that person. You have to remember that H&S is trying ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

If a train had stalled it would be REALLY obvious, as if that was the case AT would have had to bring in a crane to lift the stranded car off the tracks (as standard regulation). This, however, seems to be the case of someone from the H&S being a bit disorganized/slow and messing up some of the ...

Re: What's your favourite Subway sandwich

The  best subway that I found was:

'Foot long, Italian BMT on Italian herbs and cheese  bread, cheese & toasted, lettuce, cucumber, peppers, onions, olives, and... SALSA'

so far no other subway combination has quite matched the sheer godliness of the <above stated sandwich>

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

This is just a strange idea, does anyone else think they may use a weak form of laughing gas for the entrance and on ride? So you're smiling as soon as you enter?:) you do realize that real laughing gas is essentially a anesthetic, it makes you limp, numb and a bit giggly. It doesn't quite have to ...

Re: The Smiler - Marketing [May Contain Spoilers]

On a smiler related note.... Am I the only one torn between this being an entirely new facility or an extension of the MOJ.... I mean is this Dr Kelmans legacy.... Or is this Miles's twisted dream.... Also I know this is probably a stupid question and I would've found out in the sanctuary..... But ...

Watch this from 9mins onwards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZS36cW8G7I Does this mean the Smiler will not self-duel? Or did the team crack it this time round?? Oh, yea that was SW1 it would be great if JW's last Secret Weapon successfully does what he intended to do on his first one to do. Also ...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

As to the actual TV advert itself, I hope that we get something similar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke5AKVtvkdc i.e. An advert that starts off by showing short videos of people relaxing and having fun with a repetitive ,almost robotic, voice over. As the advert continues it deteriorates ...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

I love the washing machine idea, however on the back of the krave box it said 'world's first 14 looping coaster', thus excluding any possibilities of an inverting secret element. Oh, hail the mighty Krave box, source of all roller coaster knowledge! I would take that 'worlds first 14 looping roller...
