Re: Lightwater Valley

Yo.

Does anyone know if Lightwater Valley have digital downloads of photos?

Also, we're going on Thursday 4th June and are considering the VIP pass - will it actually be worth it? Will an early-June school day be busy?

Re: Women dies at Six Flags Texas

Don't mean any offence by this, but... ....Some chick was on a video saying how the woman who died was no bigger than her, but she was pretty large. Its unfortunate. Fat peeps gotta get dem thrillz (I am a fat person), so of course it shouldn't happen, but it makes you wonder if the rider could have...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The visual design and implementation of this ride is fantastic, I absolutely love it. It all looks very clean, crisp and sterile. Also chartreuse is my favourite colour and I love a chartreuse/yellow combination, so the entrance is like....possibly one of my favourite entrances ever. When the heck ...

Is it now safe to assume that The Smiler is going to be the best rollercoaster in the world?

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

15th May would kind of be a disaster for me. I arranged a trip between 5 different people, all in full time work (before the delays announced) for May. It is a huge huge huge pain to arrange everyone getting time off at the same time (from all over the country too) and we are headed to Alton on May ...

Re: Local Accommodation

Yeah, we definitely want to visit, spend some time and do some filming/photos at the Chained Oak. Always heard good things about it. I'll check prices.

Cheers for your help folks.

Re: Local Accommodation

What is the best local accommodation to Thorpe Park? I have stayed at the Alverton Motel a couple of times and it was fantastic, getting a whole house - although I understand they underwent some changes last year? I hear the Chained Oak is very good. What are the best/other options? I would love to...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Oh god this is too good. Will definitely hit up Alton Towers at Halloween, and will be massively excited to check this out. Will a lot of track work happen over closed period, likely, or will some be done before closing? Apart from Thirteen what were the other recent rides/coasters construction per...

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

I always aim to make as many ridiculous, loud-enough-to-be-heard-by-others comments when in queues. I cannot think of any specific examples.

Re: Lightwater Valley: 2012 discussion

Pleasure Island is already home to a Pirate Ship. Also, I love this bit of the article from VM: At the time of writing, we are unable to disclose the name of The Wave's new owner Their little way of saying "we know, and you dont"... Hahahaha. Christ, this place cracks me up sometim...

Re: POV Pests

I do it on every ride I can get away with. Especially the big ones. I take as many recording devices with me, just in case they get confiscated (two cameras, phone etc) and I like spreading vaseline on my hands just before riding. But nah, as mentioned there is generally no point in filming POVs as...
