Re: Alton Towers best picture thread

Since I never take my DSLR to the park, I have to do the best I can with my compact. Here are a few that have come out rather well: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5263/5857043988_a3c2d34ecc.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6119/6292409341_3c9f104bf6.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6032/6292928972_...

Re: BigAl's RCT3 Creations

Great work! I love how compact the layout is, yet how immersive it seems.

Look forward to seeing what else you can come up with!

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

Good news for me! My plans for my gap year have now been finallised, and I'm now headed to be living and working in Switzerland for 3 months in spetember, followed by 2 months of mission work. It's great to have actual solid plans now set which I can look forward to! Also where I'll be living in Swi...

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

It's now easter and I'm off to Iceland tomorrow with school. I know close to no-one else going on the trip, which I'm not massively bothered about. Looking forward to all the photo opportunities and exploring the landscape I've heard so much about!

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I really enjoyed my rides on The Swarm yesterday. It seems to have a perfect balance between intensity and the "floaty-airy" feeling. This meant that most of the elements had a really unusual sensation which was just really fun. The theming was also sensational with so much detail in what'...

Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Has anyone got any idea what the throughput is like on this? Presumably not as it sounds like it was pretty quiet today, and Saturday will really put it to the test. It's a great shame there isn't a single rider queue also, on Raptor it worked so brilliantly at filling up spaces and made the ride pr...

MINI MEET: Thorpe Park: 17/18 March 2012

It looks like I'll be on the park on Saturday now, so if I come across the group at some point in the day I'll make sure I come up and say hi. :)

Re: Heide Park 2012: Krake Theming and Scare Maze

Now that looks good. This has really upped what was a somewhat mediocre looking ride experience, to something more sensational with top notch themeing elements. It's hard to believe that this is the same company who left rides like Air unfinished (though I suppose they are a different company now), ...

Great work Captain, you've totally nailed the theming and integration between rides. I must ask where those wooden fences are from as they look fantastic, wouldn't mind using them myself.

Re: Oxygen(B&M Wing Rider) My 1st RCT3 Project (7 NEW PICS)

Wow, I have to say that this is most impressive. I can see that your integration of the ride within the landscaping works really well. Your supporting work also really stands out, which usually it takes quite a bit of getting used to, but you've just hit the nail on the head first time. Awesome work...

Re: Tornado - B&M Invert

Again you don't fail to blow my mind with your incredible detail, blimey it's good! Personally I think the standard train works better, it gives the ride a more "miney" feel about it. Also, how did you manage to get the rapids to work like that?! I've been playing around with the XXL rafti...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Well at least it's a better PR stunt compared to the morphsuit one... but still, makes you laugh to see what they'll do to get into the press :P At least we get nice new shots of the trains and theming, that brickwork will look incredible once finished. (I've never said anything like that about bric...

Re: Camera advice needed

If you haven't already, do take a look through the Amazon bestsellers in compact cameras . Browsing through there and seeing the differences in cameras should give you an overall gist in what sort of camera body your looking for, but make sure you have a thorough read through the specifications to s...

Re: TTF Euro Coaster Poll 2011-12: Round 1, Group 9: VOTE NOW!

1. Raptor* - Incredible. I had the great joy of being able to ride this last year and everything about it was spot on. The ride experience and the themeing were both world class and this definitely deserves to win. 2. Silver Star - Looks fantastic, I've not yet been able to ride a hyper, but they do...

2012: Nemesis Sub-Terra... Part 2

I remember ETAI being one of the most terrifying things I've ever been through in my life. I did it when I was seven and I still remember it all pretty much perfectly and it was the most scared I have ever been. It's probably one of the most successful theme park rides in this field due to the fact ...

Re: RCT3 Project: Alyeska Theme Park and Resort

I really did/do love this park. It's a real shame to see the unfortunate end, but I'm pleased that you managed to get it running for pictures so we could all see how it fitted together, and the stuff we never got to see, giving it a much more satisfying end.

A very inspiring park :)
