Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Jungle Escape has now dropped in price by £3 across all tickets to be: £7 on the day; £6 pre-booked; and £5 for annual pass. Thorpe Park in “upcharge attraction not being as successful as we hoped so we’re having to drop the price” shocker. Along with the AT Dungeon struggling to attract visitors t...

So apart from the first drop being different to Colossus, is there any other differences?

As far as I’m aware, the only difference between Colossus and the newer versions of the layout, such as Altair, is the profiling of the first drop.

Do we have an idea on any theming?

The planning application hasn’t had any documents uploaded to it yet, so at this time there isn’t anything that would point towards any potential theme.

Re: Loggers Leap [Retired]

Anyone find it strange that the ride is still SBNO? They said there would be an auction in May yet there is still no sign of this I don’t find it strange that the ride is still SBNO, neither do I find it strange that the auction hasn’t yet been held. It’s Thorpe, they don’t seem to know from one da...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Alton Towers have extended ride close by 30 minutes today to 4:30pm. They also extended by 30 minutes on Friday, which was originally a 5pm close. Now we are creeping towards school trip season, I imagine we’ll see a lot of on-the-day extensions. I’d much rather the scheduled opening times were long...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Did my first ride in years today. The drop and backwards section is still fun and the outside bit is still a little disappointing. However, what made my ride great was that there were people on it that had no idea what was going to happen. Some of their party did though and everyone's reaction at t...

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

Whatever Alton do for their 40th birthday, I hope it’s better than what Thorpe have decided to put on. I think that the very least we should get is Towers Street all decorated with the big birthday cake at the bottom, some specific merchandise like Thorpe have done (which I very much approve of) and...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

I too rode DBGT at the weekend, and I was far from impressed with it. To begin with, once the group in was in was batches into one of the two holding areas, we must have waited at least 20 minutes before moving through to the pre show room. That passed largely without incident (although the smoke ef...

Well that’s..........uninspiring.

Even if this project does end up seeing the light of day (which I highly doubt) I can’t see it being anywhere near the standard that was originally conceptualised.

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

I don't find Nemesis rough in the slightest.

Considering she's 25 years old, she's ageing very, very well in terms of a ride experience.

Re: The Future of Hex

Shame, I can't see it being around much longer. I’m not sure what is making you say that? On opening day, Hex was making some unusual noises when the drum got to a certain position during the ride sequence, and I believe it was closed on the Sunday. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an issue with...
