Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Any speculation whether Scarefest is going ahead this year? Because of COVID-19 etc... I hope it does but I'm not sure how a social distanced Scare Maze would work? Especially if Sub Species will stay. Scarefest is still being advertised as going ahead, however no details have been released around ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Ah alright, so it's a bit of a gamble of safety to go I assume I wouldn’t say it’s a gamble on safety to visit the park. Masks are only mandatory on the listed rides & attractions, it’s not a requirement to wear them at any other time. As long as you keep your distance from other guests and fol...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Are people wearing masks when not on rides currently, or are most people immediately taking them off once they get off The majority of people are only wearing masks on the rides where it is a requirement. From what I saw on opening day, the percentage of people wearing them while walking round the ...

How do they test the ride in the morning before opening? I'd have assumed they'd send the trains round empty?

Re: Oktoberfest - General Discussion

I wonder if Towers are carrying on with theirs?  Oktoberfest is a blast. Most friendly beer drinking event I've ever been to. It's really a conglomeration of all travelers, which is completely fine. Alton Towers are still promoting their Oktoberfest event, which suggests they plan on it going ahea...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hiya, this is my first time using the forum so bear with me! Thinking about going to the park this month and was just wondering if anyone had any tips on the best face masks to wear for ride experience?  I have a simple fabric ear hook one but I have heard these are not as good as ones that tie ful...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

From the latest TT article: "TH13TEEN is remaining closed since social distancing requirements mean the minimum passenger weight to run cannot be reached" Can anyone clarify what this means? Empty trains can still run can't they so why not the same with reduced pax numbers? TH13TEEN can e...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Did notice some interesting things at the end of that video! The shot of Slammer is likely because this is where the entrance to Black Mirror Labyrinth will be :) I don't think that clip of Slammer at the end of the video will have any relevance to the 2020 season. Slammer is dead and Black Mirror ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

As you can see from the image below, the page has no content and you are greeted with the generic website background. Could this be a pointer towards the attraction being closed for good? https://...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

What are everyone's thoughts on some of the new Covid-19 measures that Towers have announced, for example do you agree with the decision to not make face masks mandatory or not? It would be great to hear what everyone thought. https://www.altontowers.com/about-alton-towers/blog/preparing-to-reopen-...
