Re: Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2010/2011

I don't blame him for being annoyed. The list is very dissapointing for a following years line up. I thought there would at least be the same amount of rides, not less of them! I am however looking forward to going there as the hollywood star looks like a fantastic ride and ever since I saw one I've...

Re: Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2010/2011

There is nothing ANYWHERE as far as I know regarding rides list so take maguires post with a pinch of salt. I am in constant contact with AEG Live and have direct contact with 2 of the organisers and so far nothing has been set in stone. I suppose that's regarding the Hollywood Star. I was told by ...

Re: Buying rides

Lol most company websites from rides sell them to anyone with a rides licence/park attractions licence, but if it was for personal use I don't see why you couldn't just buy one and put it in your land, providing you don't disturb the neighbors with the loud engine/generator sound, and the motor on t...

Re: Slooooooooooooow Computer :(

As Islander said, if that fails, it could be a hardware fault.. a big pain in the arse if you don't know how to/what to replace inside. There are plenty of computer shops around that can sort hardware faults if it is one, just go into one and enquire. While your there you could also think about upgr...

Re: Laptop Advice

I've been looking into Sony Vaios. Does anyone have any Sony computers or laptops? It's all about paying for the name with those, you can get a lot higher spec in another make, like Acer for example than Sony. By all means if you like the style of the Vaio then go for it, but you can get a lot more...

Danters/Wilsons are basically in partnership anyway.

They opearate from Wilsons yard in Birmingham
They are related
They do the same run of fairs.

Yes, but there's no point in saying another family name, that just confuses things. Not everyone knows who's related to who.

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

I thought Wilsons were getting one of those Star Shape rides? Not Wilson, but Abie Danter (who often travels his Crazy Mouse and Flume on the Wilson circuit) is buying a Star shape. which is being manufactured now and will hopefully be ready to open by the end of the year. It will be heavily based ...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

Photos from the festival fair at Gravesend Kent. E Bibbys move it 24 has been officially named 'Scream' and has a new topsign. Other front splats and topsign is yet to be fitted with lighting. New gels have been added to the par cans and now have new halogen bulbs which I saw being fitted. [url=http...

On a recent fair in France, it's revealed that ex Wilsons Chaos Afterburner wasn't permanently stripped. Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

Stanley Thurston Will be back at Addison this next coming week, got a new tripod already and hopefully get to do some on-ride footage this time, (that is of course with permission from Stanley). Anyone interested in turning up, it runs for three days (Thursday being cheap-night), and runs from 10th...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

One of my best rides on a twister was when one of the fair staff started squirting riders using a super soaker! - it was hilarious! :D Oh wow, I didn't know they did that here! Was this before or after H.S.E. introduced loads of stupid rules? You could just imagine some kid starting to cry be...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

OK, the first ride I went on was called Twister, and I assumed it was a waltzer, but I'm not so sure now, it had arms that spun, and the 2 person cars spun independently of those. Yes that's definatly a twister/sizzler ride. And yes that Twister thing was forceful, the kid next to me was only about...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

One was called Twister, and looked like a waltzer to me Do you mean one ride was a twister and the other was a waltzer? I did the last 2 one after the other, so didn't enjoy the Miami one until I was off and could reflect that actually, it wasn't bad! If you did either twister or waltzer, they can ...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

Wouldn't mind seeing Kinzlers breakdance for W.W. 8) Not sure what the theme would be though.. Would be nice to see different attractions at the event, last years I thought was excellent. If you think about it, it has got to include more family based rides to attract a wider party. One of the downfa...

Re: Fairs/Travelling Rides - General Discussion

With 2 XXL just been finished for Switzerland and Belguim, there's still another to be built, forgot where that's going but it wasn't here. I can imagine they can be made faster now with a bit more confidence as the first was a prototype, so one comming here would seem more likely if a showmans inte...
