Re: SW8

sounds plausible. the trees that have been removed by dark forest are more towards the back end of thirteen, it doesn't acctualy interfere with dark forest, as you walk into the queue for thirteen its all cleared to the left of the queue line if you ride the skyride, the open space in the woods is a...

Re: SW8

Just because they are clearing trees around the forbidden valley area, doesn't mean that the ride is going to be based in forbidden valley... nobody yet in this forum has mentioned the clearance in the trees in the dark forest the area this has cleared up is absolutely massive, this thing could be t...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I drove up after work at 5 and got in before six, queued for about 2 hours as it was on and off breaking down on the lift hill :/ I fear the worst for the future of this ride, it certainly isn't good the amount of faults we've had since it opened, I give it a year at most unless something gets sorte...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

don't forget that people who booked time off for the 23rd opening day and throughout that week will be riding it throughout the first few weeks, the queues will die down, I reckon the end of summer will see quitter queues, then Halloween will be mental as this thing will look absolutely beautiful at...

Re: So has The Smiler topped Nemesis?

nemesis has a very intense sense of speed and you acctualy feel asif your on a heart poundin coaster. the smiler for some odd reason literally does make you smile, I was laughin and happy the entire time I was on that seat. incredible I don't know what it is though the smiler just doesn't intimidate...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Gax...

because if it was the track that caused the stall then we would have a very major problem here. that could potentially end with dismantling parts of the track

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

180 min on ridetimes 180min seems to be the "Maximum" value of the displays on the website, since it never seems to go above that. For those who've been on the Smiler already, is it actually exaggerated or under-estimated? (Or maybe accurate?) on the opening day they told us at the entran...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

temperature changes in steel have to be pretty dramatic to alter its shape etc. not to mention it would have to be a concentrated temperature. just because its a sunny day doesn't mean the steel is going to warp or expand to a point where its gonna cause vallying, not to mention the bogeys on the ro...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Wouldn't have happened with a B&M.... Just saying... ;) Oh Fail. A lot of people (here, social media etc) are saying a similar thing; that we should have got a B&M. What an absurd idea, having a variety of coasters is what a park needs, and AT is now getting this. It is just a shame that th...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I cant recall even noticing any of the effects whilst riding, I was however on the front row so I don't know if that changes anything, but the speed you go round that circuit its hard to notice anything haha

Re: So has The Smiler topped Nemesis?

the two rides are completely incomparable. its like comparing kingda ka with oblivion, just to completely different ride experiences.
