Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

The only time the restraints will get tighter on vests is because the g-force pressing you into the seat further, the seatbelt retractors do the same and lock to this position. After the drop, loop or whatever you return to the position you were in before but the restraints will be tighter, it's pre...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

Been watching all the videos of this ride and I'm really disappointed with the water effects there barely noticeable do you think they will be turned up a notch? The water jets next to the fire engine some times gets you wet so they will probably keep it as it is. It's not the splash effect, that's...

Carnival of Horror:LIVE!

Hey everyone, I'm Sam for those of you who didn't quite catch it in the username.. I'm a young magician(16) and am looking to start a new show. I've decided I want to go down the Horror illusion show route, as it's uncommon and rarely spoken of; here's the problem, I need ideas. I'm in contact with ...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

All the 'World's First' gimmicks started to get [email protected] after the 'Worlds first Vertical Free-fall Coaster' I mean, come on.. Just go for something already done, but do it better!

Cause that's all that's going to happen again, for once be THE competition instead of the competed..

Re: If You could bring back one past ride?

I'll be honest, I'm never keen on the idea of the boneshaker returning, I never got to ride it as it was closed the year I was born, but I've been on travelling versions of the ride and sat in disbeleif how over rated it was. Truely the most worthless boring attraction I've ever ridden, Hated it.

Re: 'Chav'.

Chav - Council House And Violent.

Therefore it is quite an open remark, and not just teenagers/youth.

I wouldn't really say the word 'chav' is overused, as sadly it describes a great deal of our society.

Re: 2012: Nemesis - What Lies Beneath... Part 2

What other parks have drop towers in the dark, if any. Could this be a World first or UK first at least, and we all know the Towers love there First's and Holes. They have to be in a dark hole anyway because of the noice and height problems the park has with the locals. Alton Towers, love there HOL...

Re: 2012: Nemesis - What Lies Beneath... Part 2

I think the video on the micro-site is slightly lacking, the blinking eye at the end was a let down. I'm hoping it's not a drop ride, watching the original marketing campaign made me think how much potential a 'haunted walkthrough' concept could have, maybe incorporate the lifts as mine shafts going...
