Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Regardless of those images depicting the Wickerman “bursting into flames” or not, you can’t deny that those images are bloody impressive. At long last, a first class themed coaster is on our hands. I’m excited!

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

The world's worst theme park secret is now out! Not going to lie - it looks impressive. Britain's answer to Cheetah Hunt and that's not a bad thing either. Airtime looks like it's there with two launches and a nice length as well. And from the looks of things... lap bars! Excited to see this get bui...

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

*Sigh* I was waiting for this obsession to pass. VR on roller coasters is a debate that could be discussed until the cows come home. As for Kraken? That's a surprise. I thought the coaster made a good filler attraction to kill some time before a show. From next year the queue will be horrendous! =; ...

Re: SW8

I am absolutely thrilled by this news. We've waited ages (over a decade) for wood and finally, Alton are giving it to us. I just wonder what made them change their minds. This is a day that we never thought would come. And it's being built by far one of the best wooden coaster manufactures out there...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

As much as I didn't want to like this ride, I can't help but look on and think how beautiful it is turning out. Never before have we had an attraction in this country that's so detailed. It's not in the league of Universal but it's great to see a lot of effort has been put in to make this attraction...

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

After watching that, it feels like the old school, forceful B&M is back with Mako. I did not expect it to run that fast; especially on the first test run! The airtime hills are going to be insane and intense. It feels like SeaWorld is about to end up owning one of the best B&M coasters in th...

Re: SW8

Finally, some confirmation that we are getting a solid investment after what has been an extremely tough season for Alton Towers. And I really hope that this is the sign of good things to come so fingers crossed for a 2017 opening! Very interesting too how it would appear the Mutiny Bay theme has be...

Re: The Swarm

I'm really happy that Thorpe Park have made the decision to reverse The Swarm to its original direction. It was an awful experience. It made me feel ill and the cars on the back end of the train looked just bizarre going in a backwards direction. Great decision, in my opinion. It's popularity was dw...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

This update from Mako Madness pretty much confirms that Universal are the best at what they do in my opinion. That Kong area just looks unbelievable! I'm still struggling to understand why Universal decided to completely rip out the original Hulk and bring in new track... when the ride layout appear...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I'll reserve my rant for the morning.

To make it easier for now, I'll say I've lost all hope in Merlin.

As for the manufacture? SimWorks, I'm guessing?

Re: Galactica - 2016 Air Re-theme

I was initially against the idea of VR, but after seeing what Merlin are going to do it with it, I've warmed to the idea. I think the logo is fab - the theme is solid (if a bit weird for Forbidden Valley) and hopefully this will breathe a new lease of life to what was one of the most neglected B&...

Re: Planning Application for Enhancements to Air

Space theme does seem like a bizarre choice considering this is Forbidden Valley. We knew it all along but now it's confirmed, it just seems a bit weird.

Almost convinced now we are going to have a VR ride on our hands but what's this about track on the car park?

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Whilst a lot of people are moaning about that blog post (yeah, those opening times suck) I'm actually very happy about the rejuvenation project coming over the next three years. FINALLY, something that we've always wanted is happening. What it proves is that Merlin have at least listened to us and n...

Re: Ride Closures/Removals in 2016

Sub Terra isn't a loss in the slightest. It's the biggest mistake the park have ever made (the next could be VR headsets for Air if that turns into a reality... but that's another issue altogether) and I would be glad to see the back of the ride. And how dare they put the name tag of one of the most...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Human error... it looks like we are going to see The Smiler ride again in 2016. That's great news. Despite what has happened, The Smiler is easily one of the most impressive looking roller coasters on the planet and it will be nice to see this engineering feat roar once again. I hope this is the end...

Re: Project 2017- Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I actually think a coaster from Premier would be a good fit for Pleasure Beach. I've only experienced Revenge of the Mummy, but their ride catalogue seems to be pretty consistent plus their coasters have a good reputation for being smooth. And Revenge of the Mummy in Orlando is very smooth, indeed. ...

Re: Islands of Adventure: Marvel Superhero Island refurbishm

I read today something that's worth considering with regards to the refurbishment of The Incredible Hulk Coaster. I know Screamscape isn't the most reliable resource for information, but the site was reporting today a rather disturbing rumour that worryingly, the original manufacture of the ride, Bo...

Re: Fantasy island Odyssey makeover

When I took a ride on this coaster earlier on this year, it was hideously rough. Spectacular to watch, yes. But to ride it was just pain from start to finish. Millennium was far better (and ironically smoother!) The whole ride needs some TLC though. The queue line and station to both Millennium and ...
