Re: Alton Towers - Music and Videos

This topic has just reminded me. I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but here's the soundtrack used on the Monorail between 2012-2014, as well as the Skyride. I could be wrong on the years this was played but I don't remember hearing it anywhere from 2015 onwards: Monorail & Skyride (2012-...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Relating back to some of the issues I experienced today with Ghost Train on TPM, these to me are some of the most basic elements to the ride which are fundamental to the experience you get and if the park can't get something as simple as the audio working properly outside and inside the building, th...

Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

As for the 12 different experiences offered, this might seem obvious to many already, but it's only just occurred to me. The ride carriage has 60 seats, right? On each side there are 30 seats facing inwards just like the underground. Now, if you look at the logo for the ride, it is essentially 5 peo...

The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Thought I'd create a video of The Smiler a week after reopening on my visit on Saturday 26th March. It shows most of the screens, effects and the half-way corrected screens and audio working properly (minus a couple of changes visible), as well as various shots of the ride in action, inside and outs...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Mechanical issue? I wasn't aware Hex had issues to do with that from last year until now.

Is it to do with the parking issue that's been surrounding the ride for the past few years? I didn't know that was a big issue with the attraction.

Re: Towers Loving Care

Brilliant. I guess this now confirms Hex will be down for an unspecified amount of time...... http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m510/Martin_Cooper/Untitled.png Out of every ride Alton chose to close, why did it have to be Hex? Whilst it might not be as popular as other family rides in the park, it...

Re: Planning Application for Enhancements to Air

Just to add to Sawboss's post, I have the newer version of Air's soundtrack (thought it was the original version from 2002) in a higher quality format than the one on YouTube. It's exactly the same track only with sharper and clearer stereo sound. It's definitely noticeable if you compare it. Downlo...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

lfcthorne, the seats on Swarm are very, very similar to Air's, although the seating isn't soft/padded like Air's and the seats are more "bucket-like" (you sink quite low into the seats like Slammer and Rush do). The adjustable vest that comes down on you locks when you dispatch the station...

Re: RCT Quick Questions

Hi all,

Anyone know where I can find and download Dasmatze's Eurofighter coaster for RCT3? Because his website is no longer available and I have no idea where else to find a clean copy of the CTR on the internet.

Thanks.

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

I must say, these trains are a lot better than I originally thought. They look superb! Really cannot wait for this to open in March! The LED lights were the thing I was least expecting, but now that they're there, these are without doubt one of the best themed ride trains I've possibly ever seen. Qu...

Re: Earths location in the observable universe

I remember seeing a video on YouTube in one of my GCSE Physics lessons showing the scale of our universe by zooming out from earth to almost 14 billion light years away, and zooming back in again. It shows us how small we are and the enormous scale of just how big our universe really is. It was deve...

Re: How your coaster interest started.

For me, it didn't really start off with roller coasters, it tended to be rides in general. I've been going on rides ever since I was about 3, and I've built my way up to the bigger rides and coasters ever since. Many would think that at the age of 3, you'd start off with the really small fairground ...

Re: The 'I Feel Down' Topic

Today, I made the tough decision and dropped AS-Level Physics, because I was failing at every mock exam given to me (nothing higher than a 'U'), and my teachers didn't think I'd even pass the upcoming January exam. This means that my future career now looks extremely unlikely. I originally started w...

Re: Fright Night's Annual Pass Day Ticket Not Arrived - HELP

Thanks for all the suggestions! :) I've just phoned up Thorpe Park through a different number and as I spoke to the person on the other end, they said that I'm not the first who has had this problem. Apparently, there was a delay for the tickets to be sent to a few people, due to popular demand. Luc...

Fright Nights

Not more than 3 days ago, I purchased an online ticket for Thorpe Park's annual pass day which is going to be held on 6th October (Thursday). I filled in all the details including name, pass number and expiry date and sent the details off. Instead of getting a booking reference number regarding my o...

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

How in the world did you get an A in religion? To be honest, I actually have no idea! The exams for Religion were more about your own opinions on certain matters, rather than writing down facts and lines about Christianity, and what their beliefs are. Plus, the subject was dead easy....

Re: The "I feel happy" Topic

I too was glad with my GCSE results last Thursday, which all turned out to be what I wanted. A couple of A's, but the rest were B's! Here are my results, all of which are separate GCSE's, none are BTEC's or Diploma's: English Language - (Compulsory): B English Literature - (Compulsory): B Maths - (C...

How busy will it be? 2011

I'm going for 3 days at the end of this month with 1 of my friends and both him and me are a little concerned about how big the queues will be. We're going between 26-28th August. So if anyone could give us a rough idea how busy it'll be, (queue time estimates) I will greatly appreciate your advice....

Re: Quick Questions 2011

Does anyone know if you can get a discounted price for the VIP parking bay right next to the entrance of the theme park, if you have an annual pass?

Thanks.
