Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

You're getting confused about what is on sale here. New passes are what is on sale, not renewals. They have simply matched the renewal price to the current new pass sale price. Prices do rise and always have - I do not understand the controversy. I agree with you Tom, I also can't understand all th...

Has anyone ever got stuck on Tomb Blaster?

In all my years of theme-parking this remains the only ride I've ever been evac'd from!

Re: Your Favourite place to eat in The Towers and why?

Woodcutters my favourite as long as I'm not in too much of a rush. Great food and service and nice to relax for a short while. Explorers Pizza Pasta gets my 2nd vote for sheer value for money coupled with pretty good pizza. Courtyard takes up 3rd place if only for the great burgers and piri piri chi...

Re: AVATAR Coming To Disney Parks

It certainly won't be the first time that Disney announced a major project and then cancelled it and hoped that nobody would bring it up :P *cough* http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/11/first-look-waterfront-district-hyperion-wharf-among-plans-for-downtown-disney/ Or, y'know, the original p...

Re: Orlando Holiday

As everyone said, Disney's fast passes are free. Whether you want them at Universal depends on when you're going. If you do decide to buy some a better option is to stay a night on site at a Universal hotel (I like the Hard Rock Hotel). By staying a single night you get 2 days unlimited express pass...

Re: Orlando Holiday

Been 3 times, going again in July - ask me anything! I always use http://www.usrentacar.com for my car hire. They've always been cheapest for me and you can just pay a deposit not the whole amount up front. They currently have 10% off rental with Dollar but that's only valid for bookings made in the...

Re: Fantasy Land Expansion, Magic Kindom Orlando.

I hope not, not enforcing end-times makes for a far more relaxing experience, rather than forcing you to rush back to where you came from to go on the ride.

Glad they're getting the extra animals. I just told my 6-yr old the news and he's very excited!

I was sceptical before but now it looks like it could be brilliant!

Re: Universal Orlando Resort 2012 Line-Up

Does anyone know when "Summer 2012" actually means for Despicable Me?

I've got a 6-yr old who loves Despicable Me and I've today booked to go back on 30th June  \:D/

Oh, and don't forget to try the Skycoaster at Kissimmee Old Town. It's 300ft high and probably the most amazing thing I've ever done!

Youtube vid of me on it :)

Re: Florida september 2012 advise

If it's food we're talking about then I have 2 other recommendations: 1 - Bahama Breeze (there is one in I-Drive and one near the Crossroads area which is the one I've been to). This place is just amazing. Sit outside. Delicious food (carribean influenced), great atmosphere, reasonable prices. The J...

Re: Chessington World Of Adventures: General Discussion

Needs more animals!! I love the Safari at Animal Kingdom. Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffes and god knows what else there. Sometimes the giraffes stand in the way and you have to wait for them to move. Awesome stuff. What're we gonna get at Chessie? A Land Rover weaving past a few Zebr...

Re: Test Track Presented by Chevrolet - Autumn 2012

Hmm... not entirely sure I like this because Test Track is one of my favourites.

Need some more details though really. If it really changes the actual experience of the ride then will this slow down the throughput when there are smaller groups that previously would have shared a car?

Re: Universal Orlando Resort: 2011 Discussion

As a complete Potter newbie the area had absolutely nothing for people like me, the story of Forbidden Journey was (for me anyway) massively reliant on you knowing who the people were and while the technology is revolutionary, with me having absolutely no link to anything it was portraying it isn't...

Countless people off here agree with that, too - I found the Orlando ones friendly by comparison.

I was about to say that. The French guys were superb at being creepy.

Re: Universal Orlando

If it's going to be a busy time then you could do worse than staying a night at an on-site hotel. When you do that you get 2 days (arrival day and departure day) of unlimited Express passes thrown in, and early entry to Harry Potter. Plus the on-site hotels are ace. I stayed in the Hard Rock hotel f...

Re: Universal Orlando: Wizarding World Expansion

WWoHP absolutely blew me away. I thought the standard of themeing around the whole of IoA was amazing, but that was at the top of the heap. Absolutely stunning, every single inch of it. The queueline for Forbidden Journey has to be seen to be believed.
