Re: Shrek's Adventure London

I have had 3 more visits recently (a reckie and 2 Scout/Guide groups). None of the times were busy enough to need 'penning' before the green screen which was nice. There were no missing actors either. I really miss the bus moving but I guess if you didn't know it ever did you wouldn't miss it. The l...

Re: Shrek's Adventure London

I don't think it's been mentioned but the bus no longer moves and the bars were removed last time I was there so not a temporary thing this time. I think the issue was getting everyone in and the bars down in a timely manor. I am trying to book another Scout group trip and have been told I can only ...

Re: Shrek's Far Far Away Adventure

The bus is working again and has loads of extra bits of plastic between the legs and on the bars that I don't remember and because of all that I don't fit any more :( Aside from that everything else was worse than my previous visits too. This was my first visit on a Weekend and the first time I've b...

Re: Shrek's Far Far Away Adventure

I went for my second visit yesterday (first time I used free ticket from the Sun, this time my Annual Pass). I was in a bigger group which was better for atmosphere (20 or so compared to less than 10 the first time) but still don't think I'd like a full group. The Christmassy elements were nice but ...

Re: New London Dungeon Finale: THE TAVERN

I wasn't aware of this change and was caught by (nice) surprise. I did notice the awful changes mentioned regarding the ticket office and green screen. Seems very odd to me to replace a money making shop with giving away a drink. Shame they can't make it like ride exits and have a combined shrek/dun...

X got new restraints last year, and if uou ride alone its quite easy to get out of the restraint and stand up. Thus we now are forced to have 2x riders per car

I thought it must be something like that, rather silly though

Re: X:\ No Way Out

I noticed this rule for the first time yesterday but only once you get to the platform! Luckily I still got three goes (we went as a 10, a 4 and a 2 so it worked each time!).
I don't get it as they can send the train with empty rows so why is one person in a row so bad?

Re: Fright Nights

To clarify - Standard Merlin annual pass holders have to pay a £5 admission/admin fee. Premium and VIP annual pass holders are free to enter but will still have to pre-book a space/ticket online before going. The reason for this is due to the popularity of Fright nights and the park keeping tabs on...

Re: Fright Nights

I am hopefully going with a group of friends for my first Fright Night and have a few questions, any and all comments welcome: ⋅ We are going Friday 16th, will it be busy during the day too or just one Fright Night actually starts? ⋅ Do all the rides stay open in the dark? (I'm n...

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

:lol Hope this is the correct place to ask, can anyone point me to a webpage or explanation about the wristband scanners in the new bit of the zoo, I saw loads but we were in a rush and didn't have time to ask anyone on park about them. Thanks

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

on a side note, looking at the site, the comparison between the three states that premium and VIP holders get priority entry into all attractions, however standard holders dont. What does this mean?? It doesn't effect theme parks really, but at the midway attractions Standard Passholders will be ex...

Actually the prices were never increased. They were increased the day the sale started. Which certainly isn't a lawful period of time.

Isn't that what the furniture companies do? Sale Price £899, price after event £2499

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Like other annual passes they expire 372 days after you collect them (1 year and 7 days) Meh it was kind of a stupid question to ask really on my part, of course they won't all be the same expiry date haha. As for our personal expiration dates will Merlin put these on sale again roughly the same ti...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Where can you get the new capsules at Legoland? I'm going tomorrow and would like one.
I think we need to forget that for some people it is worse value than before and judge it on its own merit, 75p per drink is much cheaper than theme park prices! Even supermarket cafe prices!!

Re: Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Well merlin have now lost £428 as their system was down. We were going to buy a family annual pass and go to thorpe park today but we spent 2 hours on trying to get the annual pass online. :/ It is really annoying. 1 themepark trip I was certain of going on ruined because merlin can't even be bothe...
