Re: Cryptic webpage on AT website?

Um, there's nothing cryptic about it. From May, if you ride all those rides in one day, you get to return for free.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

It's a busy day on park today! All thrill rides at least 50 minutes (except N:ST which is at 10) with The Smiler currently at 135 minutes. CBeebies Land is also fairly busy too with ITNGMBR & GSGTTA at 50 minutes. Is there still school trips? TP have a ticker on their website saying today will ...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Having just read some of the long term development plan, i noticed this "In the second phase of the Long Term Plan the connection between the existing hotel area and the Theme Park would be reinforced with indoor and outdoor attractions. This would enable the development of a fully integrated ...

Just a quick question:

How do you know which train you are on?

Its got the number at the front of the car. Eg will say 2.1 meaning Car 2, Row 1. Think the other rows have it at the side but not sure.

Re: Ripsaw a bit tame these days?

Think they only have the water hit you on warm/hot days now. I got the sequence that flips the gondola four times in a row, and they did it twice! Loved it!

PS. What has happened to the "Can you Cut it" sign at the bottom of the gondola? Wasn't there last week.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Went on Car 5 today and wasn't bad as people are making it out to be. Sounded exactly the same as all the other cars and its not that rough, just vibrates a bit more. (Was on the back row too!)

I can't quite believe some people on here (although I respect your opinions). Personally, I think the ride is actually OK. It's not made with shoddy construction, yet it's not made with perfect construction either. The Smiler is pretty epic, and as far as coasters go, it's unique and would have pre...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Just close the ride until next year. It's obviously not in a fit state to operate. There's just been way too many serious problems with it. This seems to be a little unfair to say, if you were going next week would you say close it then?  I think for the people who have booked to go over the l...
