Re: Mack Launched Coaster for SeaWorld California 2012?

If it's half as good as Blue Fire they'll have a winner on their hands. I hope more parks buy those fantastic rides.

Re: Drayton Manor General Topic

I'm not sure where 'the street' is going to be, but I'd imagine in won't include Apocalypse. Perhaps;

- Buffalo
- Ben 10
- 4D Cinema
- Big Wheel
- Flying Dutchman
- Pandemonium?

Don't think an announcement will be too far away.

Re: THORPE PARK 2011

I'm looking forward to this ride, similar versions I've ridden were really good fun.

Not sure why people are so focussed on the appearance of the supports?

Re: Drayton Manor General Topic

I'm interested to know what the height restriction will be and how that will match up with the height of your average Ben 10 fan. Vekoma's Junior Coaster model carries a restriction of 110cm - I wonder if this is based on that ride system or something completely different.

Re: Drayton Manor General Topic

These photos must not be reproduced without prior permission. Whoops. Wow, you're so cool  8) The thing that struck me the most is the size of the construction site! By looking at the position of the cable car tower you can tell just how big the project area is! I'm wondering how close it goe...

Re: Merlin interview

Also, overreaction on the museum comments or what? He was asked what he thought the government had done to help the tourism industry, and his answer was, however brutal, very honest. He was not insulting free museums, he was insulted the governments one sided approach to the tourism industry. Free ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

^ I think with Thorpe in particular, Merlin will spend a higher percentage of the project budget on ride hardware than themeing and given the target audience, I don't think that's a bad move.

It's the same arse. The groups of people who green light and creatively control each ride are the same people, no?

Re: Thorpe Park 2012: The Swarm

From speaking to people who work at towers they dont know a whole lot about what each other do until plans are finalised. I think merlin like to instill a sense of compitition between the parks Plans are finalised 18 months in advance, or more. High level management at each park knows what is going...

Re: Merlin buy Sydney attractions

No belive me - that 4D show thingy was just the worst i have ever been on, so they need to get rid of it! oh I so totally expect to see this landing in Alton Towers! lol. Re: Merlin buy Sydney attractions

^ Ha!

I was in Sydney a few months ago and visited three of those attractions (Tower, Oceanworld & Aquarium) - they're all really cool. The Tower has a horrendous and painful 4D show with it so maybe that will see an revamp.

Re: Drayton Manor General Topic

Are you actually serious ¬_¬, Drayton Manor is so much better than having sponsered rides :x. I mean why does everything have a sponser these days, its annoying me with Alton Towers getting them let alon Drayton Manor. If you think about it...it's the total opposite.
