Re: Scariest moments at Alton Towers

One of my scariest was riding Nemesis. I had always thought it was a great ride, and when I rode it on this occasion I had finally hit 6 foot (this was about 5 years ago). I had my hands up in the air, and as we rolled over the station, I felt my hand hit something. It was very cold (it was November...

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

May be a little far in advance, but I am planning on going on the 13th and 14th of June (monday and tuesday). Does anyone have any idea the size of crowd I will be dealing with that day?

Re: Thorpe Park 2013 General Discussion

^ Yeah, I'm six foot. I can't really ride it any more. Thank god it's so bumpy, cause otherwise I would be really disappointed about not being able to ride it.

^Yeah so have I, and I can barely fit my legs in. The cars are so flipping small!

Re: Saw The Ride Contract Expiring

God I hope it goes to a sawmill theme. I always thought it was weird having Loggers Leap so close to Saw, but having such different themes.

Re: Falcon's Fury (Drop Tower)

Maybe towards the bottom it will go back into sitting position? Like before it slows down it starts to tip back to seated position.

Re: Best themed Coaster Thorpe VS Alton...

^ Is it really themed though? Sure it's landscaped, has a weird station, and has pink water, but other than that, it's just kinda leafy. Smiler looks well themed, and I have to admit I do quite like Tidal Wave, with all the shops and stuff around it. I would probably say Saw. Swarm comes close, but ...

Re: Thorpe Park Next Coaster

^None of them I would call dead rides. The only one that I believe would be a nice ride to either remove or move is Storm Surge. But I agree that it is time for Thorpe to "theme it self up". Hopefully the recent changes to X, and the extensive theming of Swarm is evidence that Thorpe is ta...

Re: Nemesis Backwards!

If they had maybe the back row backwards, I can imagine that being really amazing. I can't see it being good on any other rows.

Is there a suggestion in that advert that the indoor barrel roll will be mapped? Or am I just being silly?

Btw, are the yellow metal bits on the side of the train normal on eurofighter style trains? Cause I don't recognise it...

I'm pretty sure that, when that photo was originally posted, the guy admitted it was fake, as it was made before testing started.

Re: Saw the Ride - Bit rough?

I thnk a couple of the cars are worse than others. I remember my first few rides were very smooth, and I couldn't understand why people complained. It was only on my last visit in which I rode it twice, the first time was fairly smooth, whilst the second was very painful. Hope it can be fixed...
