Re: Flamingo Land

Its not the best picture as I failed to get any of the actual area when i visited last weekend, but if you look closely you can see groundwork has already started on their new coaster.

Re: Tulley's Shocktoberfest

Tulleys announced that 2 new attractions will be at the scream park this year as well as the return of all but 1. The Colony did not appear on the list, but it is apparently going to be given a new theme this year.

Flamingoland, we were walking in the zoo area and a lady walked by an emu and shouts “OMG it’s a pheasant”

IMAScore may have accidentally given us an opening date in a Facebook post. The date they have quoted is 19th May 2020. I must admit, I think this looks so good!

Re: Fright Nights

It's a good looking visual, so let's hope this years event is a lot better than last years, though lets be honest, it won't be hard to beat last years.

The trains run about every 20 minutes to London and last train back is just before midnight I believe.

Re: Looking to make friends

Hello fellow southerner. I think many of us who are active on here are or were in the same boat. Before I found TTSP I had no friends. The great thing about this community is that there is usually someone around to have a chat with or someone planning on visiting a park. The events do take a leap of...

Re: Food & Beverages

Food options at all the Merlin Parks are quite dull really. It’s basic, cheap food that they can make a profit on and doesn’t require any skill to make/reheat. It’s such a shame that the food options are so terrible. Theme parks are supposed to be fun places where even the food should be magical, bu...

According to some rumours on Twitter, the spinning coaster is apparently going to be clone of Sierra Sidewinder at Knotts Berry Farm.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Bouncezilla is everything you’d expect from it. It’s fun but my god is it exhausting! I got half way round and I was dead. It’s such a fun thing for the park to have and I recommend that people go and give it a go. Jungle Escape is a weird one. It’s like two separate attractions merged together. The...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I'm very excited to have a go on Bouncezilla and Jungle Escape. They are both totally different ideas for a theme park to add and I have to give Thorpe some credit for trying something new. Jungle Escape looks like its had a lot of care and attention with the way it looks and hopefully the puzzles a...

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

In an ideal world I'd love late night openings with a special show happening the nights its open late. I would love a few decorations around the park and a celebration in the resort hotels. New special edition merchandise would also be cool as Thorpe's do look so good!

Re: Black Buccaneer

If it doesn't return, I wonder if they will sell it or move it to another Merlin park. If it is going to end up being moved, I wonder  if it will make an appearance at Thorpe Park. My Monkeys is getting rather old now and it is the sort of flat ride that could be a good addition for the park. If it ...

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

Given how much Merlin enjoy recycling ideas I imagine we will see something similar to what Thorpe Park are doing. No real celebration (That we know off) and just release some merchandise in its actual birthday month so they can cash in on the idea of their birthday :sus:

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Food and Beverage

One thing that has always disappointed me, not just at Alton Towers but all the Merlin parks, is the lack of exciting food options. When you look at other parks, most seem to have that 1 food option that everyone has to try. Dollywood has its Cinnamon rolls for example. Merlin did try to do this to ...

Re: Paultons Park

I am confused about one thing. What age is Tornado Springs supposed to be aiming for? If it’s aiming to attract the older generation than I feel that the parks going to have a hard time doing this as for the past few years it’s primarily been aimed at the younger generation. I don’t feel myself able...
