Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I'm very excited to have a go on Bouncezilla and Jungle Escape. They are both totally different ideas for a theme park to add and I have to give Thorpe some credit for trying something new. Jungle Escape looks like its had a lot of care and attention with the way it looks and hopefully the puzzles a...

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

In an ideal world I'd love late night openings with a special show happening the nights its open late. I would love a few decorations around the park and a celebration in the resort hotels. New special edition merchandise would also be cool as Thorpe's do look so good!

Re: Black Buccaneer

If it doesn't return, I wonder if they will sell it or move it to another Merlin park. If it is going to end up being moved, I wonder  if it will make an appearance at Thorpe Park. My Monkeys is getting rather old now and it is the sort of flat ride that could be a good addition for the park. If it ...

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

Given how much Merlin enjoy recycling ideas I imagine we will see something similar to what Thorpe Park are doing. No real celebration (That we know off) and just release some merchandise in its actual birthday month so they can cash in on the idea of their birthday :sus:

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Food and Beverage

One thing that has always disappointed me, not just at Alton Towers but all the Merlin parks, is the lack of exciting food options. When you look at other parks, most seem to have that 1 food option that everyone has to try. Dollywood has its Cinnamon rolls for example. Merlin did try to do this to ...

Re: Paultons Park

I am confused about one thing. What age is Tornado Springs supposed to be aiming for? If it’s aiming to attract the older generation than I feel that the parks going to have a hard time doing this as for the past few years it’s primarily been aimed at the younger generation. I don’t feel myself able...

Not sure about this but I seem to think Easter last year was travellers’ weekend?

Yeah it is. They always go cashless when the travellers descend on the park so its not a permanent thing.

Did people not do Rumba last year or something? :lol

It was crazy last year and actually got wet. I'm so happy they seem to have kept the momentum going with it and not just let it die down again.

I'm actually really happy Living Nightmare Extreme has got recognition in the Best Zombie Experience category. It was truly stunning and was what a zombie maze should actually be like all the time, so i'm really glad its been acknoledged. Zombie Hunt I'm a little more surprised about as I didn't rea...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Its quite a magical advert and it even make the pods look kinda cool. I think they should be extremely proud with it. I hadn't noticed the ride constellations at the end until you mentioned it, that's a nice little touch.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

As reported on the  SouthParks Facebook , the dome has received an awful lot of attention over closed season. Gone is the Atlantis themeing from inside the dome. Above the doors leading from inside the dome to the park, a new giant screen has been put in place.  https://www.southparks.co.uk/files/20...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Am i the only one thinking that this map makes the park look empty? It looks like its lacking any other rides other than the coasters. It could just be the colours they have used as they seem to merge into the background.

I think with Stealth is its a bit of a mix. The launch feels more forceful at the back, so it kind of feels like your being dragged along and I totally agree with what Chris says about the top hat.
