Re: Alton Towers museum a possiblity?

they could make use of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ride for this, as the tour layout is perfect for an interactive history ride.

Re: fawlty towers

the TV monitors in ques and in the monorail stations need updating, many of them either don't work or have starting sowing too much red tone ect... although i will acknowledge that some of the monitors have been replaced in recent years. they also need to seriously fix HEX as that ride has had conti...

Re: November 25th 2012 : Residents to oppose Alton's Lodge Plans

+ Apparently the new development is not in keeping with the historic landscape of the Estate and its trees and woodlands, although they don’t specify why :? i find this highly amusing. if anyone is ever walking through the gardens near the forbidden valley sky ride station at the "observation ...

Re: Monorail Accident

By the fact that the switch is essentially the cause here, is there no interlocking or signalling to prevent a train entering a occupied or switching area? Shouldn't have been possible, driverless or not because the monorail dates from the 80's it was designed to be operated by a driver and for the...

Re: Nemesis closed due to flooding.

the stone floor that nemesis is built into means that natural drainage is a major problem,
so unless they bring in some serious pumps nemesis will remain closed until the weather improves.

Re: Annual pass quencher / Day quencher - Have I been mugged?

the staff are meant to ask for your receipt every time you refill,
sooner or later you would be caught and then you could be made to pay again which would make the annual pass quencher better value :)
it's not too much more expensive really.

Re: Alton Towers Glasgow school coach crashes

to be fair, Alton Towers have a specific traffic plan which coaches are supposed to follow: coaches arrive by 1 road, and leave by another thus ensuring that coaches are only going 1 way on each road. unfortunately in the age of sat-nav most long distance coach drivers don't follow these instruction...

Re: News: Reduced Attraction Operating Hours

this is getting ridiculous, Spinball noodles wasn't very good in my opinion so it's about time that closed, although i will miss the opportunity to fill up my free refills cup there. i put forward that they could close areas early, as most people leave the park around 4, and the coach parties which ...

Re: News: Reduced Attraction Operating Hours

can i just say that realistically this is a very bad idea. it detracts from the value for pass holders, since they sell it as great value all year at the set price, they have damaged the value. my solution would be to close sections and rides early, not open them late. Alton themselves recognise tha...

Re: Stoke - Alton Towers Rail Link (Moorland & City Railways)

i think this is great progress i do also believe that alton towers will need to invest in a means of transport from the station gateway. my thought would be a hill train/tram like that at Legoland Windsor, it would be a most suitable solution given the situation, a hill train can take quite alot of ...

Re: Radio Alert !!! (

i have now listened to the program, and it was interesting and factual.
i felt a little annoyed, they kept referring to Hex as The Hex.
otherwise it was quite wide in scope talking about the development of the park, so it's well worth a listen :)

You must have visited Chessington this month if I'm right? Two free boxes of cereal. How kind of Kellogs in this hard time during recession!

they gave them away at Alton towers too, i guess it was a big PR campaign via the Merlin theme parks over Easter.
