Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park London

Olympia Looping will be returning this year as far as I know.
Santa Land will feature 2 new rides this year, Ice Trike Trail & a 45 metre long Ice Slide.
Also brand new is a convenient family entrance that leads straight into Santa Land and the Christmas Grotto.

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Okay so I was at Thorpe yesterday and saw where that cherry picker has parked.. however that's literally just it.. a cherry picker, 4 structure frames of The Swarms cars, and a few pallets with blankets over them.. so unless it's something to do with The Swarm.. i'm stumped :-k Sorry for the double...

Re: Towers Loving Care

The operating costs saved by having it closed in 2016, they have spent on the refurbishments, just a way of off setting the costs a smart business move at the expense of one less attraction for their guests in 2016.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

I do hope they give the rapids a good make over and ready for big queues in the hot weather now the log flume has departed, as being the only good water ride left in the park, I can see it needing engineers and spare parts on hand a lot.

Re: SW8

The 3 lines marking the track layout on the plans could be for a third rail, so maybe a Worlds First B&M 4D Prototype. My second choice would ultimately be for a wooden coaster with some inversions and a splash down using part of the old flume lake. Even a wooden coaster with a loop would be nic...

Re: SW8

I like to see something like Journey To Atlantis at SeaWorld, it would make for a nice backdrop at the back of the flume site.

Re: SW8

Its funny how Alton Towers and Thorpe Park have both closed there flumes this year.

Maybe a double deal discount for two of the same ride type from the same company.

I am really hoping for a Water Coaster as its a ride type the UK does not currently have.

Re: Which SW coaster do you think will be removed first

Nemesis could last forever if they just replace the track and supports and even the trains in a closed season.

If they did this I think it would only be so they can get a new world first train on it, which could mean a new type of track with the same layout.

Nemesis Reborn, Yeah!

Re: 2015 Scarefest

I would think that the park does not want any reasons for low poor turn outs of people for scarefest as the park would have put a lot of time and money into this event. As well as extra staff, actors hire and later working hours overtime pay for the current staff. Profits are down this year for the ...
