Looking at doing an East Coast mega trip (after a recent Germany trip went so well) with the missus this May/June and was looking for some help along the way. Here is the plan roughly: Day 1: Flights - Flying to Cleveland, Ohio via Reykjavik, Iceland from Manchester. Day 2: 1 Hour drive ...
New day, new photo from myself. This is of a Smiler train going through the corkscrew after the batwing and before the mid-course brake run - shame about the damn netting but safety first, ay? http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c259/shaney108/IMG_3463_zps0909520b.jpg (Taken 31st October 2013)
As far as I know it's a static model. As you can see, there are four trains on the track and they are fixed into place. Even so, it's a nice looking model and would love to see it in my house - Shame, I bet this costs a fair bit as the coaster dynamix sets did and these are all customer sections. Ge...
Any sign of the inoculator working? Can't see it https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=571644216200094&set=vb.168150643216122&type=2&theater Around the 11/12 second mark in the video above near the left side you can see The Inoculator - it sprays a mist section just before the train gets...
If the ride is opening tomorrow, shouldn't the announcement have already been made? If it is to open tomorrow I imagine they won't say it is open till the day it actually opens. Why? To make the first day as quiet as possible and then they know for sure there is nothing stopping them such as late h...
i just love the fact that the U.S.A spend at least £30 to £50 million on there roller coasters and we only spent £18 million for the smiler and its as good in theming, got one of the longest tracks in the world and got the most loops than any other roller coaster in the world. big thanks to J...
Pretty annoyed with this to be honest. Missus isn't allowed time off at all in May due to where she works but convinced the boss to allow her this once to have it off and now the ride isn't even going to be open. I could understand it if this was 16th March (opening day 2013) and they said it wasn't...
I'm confused now. This AT competiton was for 8 winners and a friend to ride Smiler before the GP. Tomorrow is your last chance to enter our competition to be one of the first to ride #TheSmiler http://www.the-smiler.com/videos. But now on the T&C it says: Winners will be chosen at random from a...
Just uploaded this for you guys, it involves all of The Smiler footage that was in the Blue Peter show with all the other Blue Peter stuff cut out! It shows construction at several periods and also onride/offride shots of the ride with Face recognition science near the end: Click here for The Smiler...
The Smiler POV Corrected, It will be available in 720p at some point but youtube is still processing it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZM0-jEUUiE Nearly correct but the first shots of the station and the shot before the first lift hill were correct. Its just the POV that was incorrect. Near enoug...
Do you think it would be the day before opening day the winners would ride the smiler or maybe on the day but the first people on? Either way, this is exciting stuff! It says in the Terms & Conditions (which no one normally reads but I did just to see if there was any more information): ALTON T...
Its worked for me: 1) Do Not Resist 2) Its Time 2 3) Get Corrected 4) Smile Using Google Chrome - also noticed its says you have to be 18 or over yet the date box ends on 1993 which would be 20 years old! Im 22 so it doesn't affect me, but they need to change that. Hopefully I am one of the lucky 8!...
I think it seems to be coming along well, my only gripe is queue line snack huts. They hold up the queue halfway through if somebody is buying and if there isn't enough bins the queue line will become filthy, as some people will have zero respect and just throw it on the floor! Alton Towers please ...
