Quick Questions 2012

I'm fairly sure Mutiny Bay is also open over Xmas this year. They've expanded to add CCL because of Ice Age 4D

Re: Ice Show To Come Back In The Next 2 Years

Thread titles like these are incredibly misleading :/

If there were a simple question mark on the end it would clearly make this a discussion on whether an Ice Show will return, rather than looking like some news that it will be back in 2 years time...

Re: Oblivion seatbelts

They're the 'big boy' seats... Designed for those guests who may be a bit on the larger side. They also feature on other coasters such as Nemmy.

New Park Entrance?

In the LTDP they state that a new entrance would be located around Gloomy Wood/Duel in order to facilitate the car parks being moved toward what is currently grass overflow - combine that with the rumoured coaster on the car park behind Air and you see why an entrance there would be more likely than...

Duel - General Discussion

It's apparently all down to the dedication and hard work of the Duel team. Doing stuff over closed season with literally no budget.

Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (**contains spoilers**)

Keira, it's not much longer than the length of a standard shipping container. It's very dark, feels claustrophobic and there are lots of loud bangs, strobe lights and air cannons. The actors will not touch you although one or two may try and get in your way throughout. Theres not room really to go s...

Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (**contains spoilers**)

I plan on looking at the floor and holding on to my boyfriend for dear life during the scare maze part when I go on Tuesday haha. I can't deal with that sort of thing! When I went on it last month, I sat forward in my chair with my legs stuck out in front of me to avoid the back pokers/tentacles. Y...

monorail

Thing is though, at the start of the season the audio and video in both stations were working great but the train audio was broken.

Now the train audio works (although is quiet) and the station audio seems hit an miss.

Quick Questions 2012

It lasts around 20 minutes and is well worth doing once if you haven't yet experienced it as its fun, well themed and just generally pretty good.

Re: Duel - General Discussion

will just simply plod along being a fantastic filler attraction for years to come. But it shouldn't just be a 'filler', it should be a major attraction in its own right. Or are we of mentality that only coasters can be star attractions? It's a theme park. To the general public, anything that is not...

Re: monorail

Don't know how long this has been playing, but upon exiting the park today, we heard the old Monorail theme playing once again. Edit: That was today, sorry. :P Jealous! When I was there a week or so ago the car park station played the new music, and the plaza station played, well, nothing. No music...

Re: Duel - General Discussion

I agree that most people "love" the shooting aspect. But frankly that's only because they are there. I reckon you'd get just as many people going on Duel if the ride had never had the blasters added. I recall the reasons mooted for the retheme was to make it more re-rideable. I guess it s...

For you, maybe. However, many people love the shooting aspect of the ride and as it is an essential part of the ride these days, they should work right until the end...

Re: The Smiler - Speculation

As long as the world's first is marketable, I don't mind what it is :D I don't give a shiny if it is marketable, as long as it rides well. To be honest, I couldn't care about a world's first; I would be much happier with a fun and enjoyable experience. The thing with world's first is that as soon a...

Duel - General Discussion

I wholeheartedly agree with you Dan, however last week I felt like it had slipped from where it was at opening week this season... I noticed the furnace which was fantastic, and I agree that the effects are working brilliantly, but some things have dropped a bit. The fans were no longer blowing warm...

Ride Downtime Thread 2012

The other week when it was down and I was in X Sector seemed to see mechanics wandering around the brake run a lot too... They got it up and running for testing but I don't think it re-opened. Was fine by the next day though.

Yep, it is eight... Though its a very tight fit! They don't usually cram 8 in every boat though unless it's exceptionally busy.

Ride Downtime Thread 2012

Sub Terra has improved greatly since it's closure. Oblivion was shut all day when I visited a week and a half ago (Wed 30th) and on the same day there had been some minor issues waiting for Nemesis to reset itself. Thursday 31st saw Rita close, however the rain on that day may not have helped. Sent ...
