Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Topic seems to have gone quiet. Will hopefully be trying ours out at the weekend. Is the pass still working out for everyone? Which park would people recommend for a first VIP experience? We are thinking of Chessington, Thorpe, Legoland or London. Legoland seems to be really good however will it be ...

Re: Fright Nights

Thanks for letting us know. Like how everybody looks out for each other on the forum. Good that Thorpe are limiting numbers. Really sensible not only for safety but also quality. Tulleys does this too and it really makes a difference to the event. On the other hand Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I'm probably going to be picking up my pass on Friday.

I remember something about having to bring a passport photo but is there anything else that I will need?

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Cool. Have you tried the water park at Alton using VIP? Are there any advantages or do we have to pay for access?

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Bit odd considering that all terms and conditions stress that refills are unlimited for VIP. That really shouldn't have happened: you didn't get the benefit of something that you're paying a lot of money for. Worth emailing VIP to let them know.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Oh just wondered if there are any benefits to having the VIP pass in respect of Splash Landings?

Re: Ratatouille at Disneyland Resort Paris

Fully agree the ride was terrible.

I can't be bothered with DLP anymore: huge prices for pretty average entertainment.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

We were told on the phone by Merlin that we would have the right of first refusal to purchase / renew our numbered passes. It's basically like a timeshare. Incidentally we still haven't received our boxes in the post. How long does it usually take? Maybe we have to pick up the pass at our home attra...

Re: 2014 Scarefest

Flesh eating creatures is obvious really.

With the CBBC tie in its got to be the Tellytubbies.

I can see it now: Tellytubbies after dark, it's time to say goodnight. Escape the clutches of la la and the gang whilst cowering in fright at the immense disembodied child head

Water Park

Hello just wondered what everyone thinks of altons water park. Someone I know said they went to center parcs recently and that they were constantly cleaning the water and that it was very hygienic. Is it the same at Alton?

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I think that irrespective if how many passes sold even of only 750 sold that's still a good solid business that will make a couple of six figure sums each year so will probably be perceived as a success. Merlin have a dedicated customer base passionate about their product who have willingly spent a ...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Thanks Paul. Maybe Merlin quietly had a word about the terms and conditions.

: )

Incidentally did anyone else have a minor heart attack when they said "this is your last chance to buy the VIP pass"? : ) It definitely motivated me as a customer to buy lol

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Thanks guys. Yes, my wife and I thought that it was a bit odd too but then again as you say, month end may well tie up with the financials. And it may also be the case that (being hopeful here of course) that they have great plans for the VIP pass and want to know the exact amount they are dealing w...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Hello All! Thank goodness for chrish: when I decided just to check out what he had been told at Alton with the VIP line the response I received was : "yep, that's correct. It's the last day today. Come 5 O'Clock it's over". My wife and I just looked at each other and thought "okay we ...

Do they mean a vip pass for the day at Alton or vip annual membership? Spoke to someone other day who said there was still a couple of hundred left?

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

On another tangent entirely: Is there any synergy with the VIP pass with any Merlin Events night outs / events? I know that they do quite a few fun events in London (including one where they added a scare maze to Sea Life). Is this just for corporate clients of Merlin Events? Would maybe make sense ...
