Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Turns out that I can go in the start of the week before now, should hopefully be a bit emptier. Went in April last year and managed to get on quite a bit.

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Hmm, seems to not have times for buses after 24th September. Odd, might have to wait until sometime next year (Thanks for that link, used that journey before but all the sites I found back then were really dated and broken).

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Thinking of going on 1st October. Literally the first day that I'll be able to make it up there. Are non-Scarefest weekends in October busy and do they still do the bus from Stoke?

Re: Ride you have queued up for the longest is?

Queued a couple of hours for the Swarm once during opening season. On my next visit a few weeks after that I ensured I got fastrack! Obviously not needed anymore (although my last couple of visits since those two were on a weekday during term time).

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

So I'm deciding to go again this year, this time on May 9th, should it be pretty empty then? Checked transport and should all be doable just wondering queues as there are limited opening times during the week in May. :/

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

Hmm interesting but whenever I've been to the theatre or a concert, the doors open or the show starts at 7.30pm if it's an evening performance :D Also, yesterday during the behind the scenes of the Big Top, it was mentioned that some of the posters inside the maze hint to clues about WC16 :) Almost...

Re: SW8

A duelling coaster would probably go against a lot of H&S regulations, especially as items could be thrown between cars.

Re: SW8

Only things that I'd prefer over a woodie are an Intamin Megalite or an Aqua Trax. Although the thought of a hybrid woodie does seem completely awesome.

Re: Possible Dark Ride development?

Everyone knows the Flume is outdated, couldn't it go there and if it is really ambitious maybe it could stretch over to Gloomy Wood/Haunted Hallow?

Re: SW8

That sounds like an awesome idea, maybe make one land steampunk (Nemesis) and the other cybergoth (Air), be awesome to see Air in black and green (but of course the wooden ride would fit the steampunk theme much more). Seeming as Merlin seems to be hooked to theming and IPs it will be awesome to see...

Changing the day of my visit to the 30th of April, should it pretty empty then?

Probably Duel, about 9 years ago during the Electric Towers fireworks. Yeah, a long time ago.

Re: SW8

I guess we could hope for one thing but it certainly won't be a world first: an Aqua Trax, this ride just looks so awesome and could be pretty compact (maybe replace Charlie once the licensing expires, especially as Cbeebies Land having a much larger focus (at the time anyway). However, I do feel th...

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Going on 6th May for the second time ever (and the first time in almost 10 years), so of course I don't really know how busy it will be. How long could I expect the queues to be for all the big rides? I plan on getting there for when the gates open and I am catching the bus from Uttoxeter to get the...

Re: In-house brand new flat ride for Adventure Island 2012

The AIGF is run by a person who actually works at the park (Hurri) and so all the news and pictures come from a primary first hand perspective - as well as being a good chat community (find me on there: Ragenrushnclaw).
