Re: 2013 Scarefest

This is a bit of a day review as well as scarefest so bare with me: So we went down on Monday, knowing it would be busy enough, we had high hopes for a soggy day  :( The torrential downpour that we got caught in not 90 seconds after leaving the car started it all really. We got to the monorail ...

Re: Best seat of the ride

As said above it depends on the ride. Nemesis - Has to be back/front right. the near miss on the front is awsome but i have a major passion for the back right seat too. Rita - Got to be front seat, it's nott he best ride on park but that seat makes all the difference. Thirteen - My least favourite r...

Re: Accidents at Alton Towers

On the discussion of Rita, I was there in 2009 with a group of mates and had ridden Rita about 12 times on the bounce right at the end of the day as it was dead and walk on. On the back seat on what was going to be one of the last rides my friend put his arms in the arm and dislocated his shoulder o...

Yes they told them to change the words of the article.

Until a mod or TT staff member confirms that Alton Towers HAVE DONE NO SUCH THING.

Rumours aren't really rumours when they are announced by the forum team.... Try checking back a few pages.

Come on, there are a lot of pages of stuff to read here.

When theres a lot of new posts and pages in such a short time, try reading back before making a statement like that.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Got to be honest, it would always be a risky decision to put all your eggs in one basket and head for the towers for the first day of the Smiler, there are bound to be issues which need sorting out through the day, there is no way they would be able to run all 3 trains on the first day to capacity ...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Lets all hunker down and be honest - This is nothing new..... It just rarely happens that they postpone the launch. usually we all turn up and then get annoyed when it fails to move for more than 1 hour on opening day. I'll admit i am a bit gutted, however i am much happier knowing i don't need to w...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I am not looking forward to those gates opening on Thursday morning My great annoyance will be the pass holders queue. the ridiculous idea of having just one gate for pass holders infuriates me at the best of times, but the people who will flock to this ride on thursday will mainly be us, but that ...

Re: Room service

Room service is offered in both the hotels but does require a card to be set up to use it. They will ask for a card of your choice to set up when you check in or if you decide to wait, they will ask you to go to the bar of reception to leave your card details before you can order it. I ordered last ...

Re: 2014 - 150 Lodge Resort Development

Yeah of course..... This is my post from last year after the announcement was made. I still stand by pretty what I said there to be honest, with the exception of Oblivion as its been done. I think this is a bad idea ATM.... One day it will be epic, but the investment needs to go on the park not on a...

I could not be happier with this - I will admit again that I hated these plans and thought it was a truly terrible idea and have such since day one of the application.

I love this kind of discussion - Everybody has an opinion. Mine is this - The Forum is here to serve our overly Geeky needs and does a s**t hot job at fulfilling them all!! Weather they are just to have a look at other peoples views or to get in to your elbows and get truly stuck in. The Mod's and S...
