Re: Universal's Epic Universe

Reminds me massively of Steeplechase, both in terms of track and the mild acceleration. Given that ride relies on how vulnerable you feel for thrills, its probably going to be a fairly tame coaster that competes with big thunder mountain. It should be noted that this is only a prototype model, and ...

Re: Universal's Epic Universe

It seems as though the ride system testing for Donkey Kong has been spotted. A Reddit user spotted the ‘over the top’ coaster prototype from ‘Setpoint Inc’ testing, which is widely believed to be the model of the Donkey Kong coaster. Check out the video below!

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

After what feels like years of waiing NBCUniversal have officially announced their 4th theme park at the Orlando Resort... Universal's Epic Universe https://i.ibb.co/K0dTtdr/52-CD175-C-5-CA2-4-A8-C-B67-D-037-F07-B7-AF39.jpg This park marks a new chapter in Universal Orlando Resort's history, and...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

There are now rumours that the Thursday conference will also feature announcements for both existing parks too. Universal have recently posted an image of eggs claiming that something is hatching soon, with the location being the Jurassic Park Discovery Centre. This has people wondering if the “VELO...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

There seems to be some interesting rumours flying around for Park 4. Currently the name seems to be leaning toward “ Universal’s Fantastic Worlds ” or “ Universal’s Epic Universe ”. The park will feature a central icon within the park, which will be the first time that the park icon has been feature...

Re: SAW: The Ride

Whilst I could see it I personally think that a retheme would be fairly unlikely with Saw, if anything a re-fresh is what I’d expect. Saw as a franchise is still alive and well with a reboot of the series currently in development starring Chris Rock and Samuel L Jackson. With the undeniable appeal t...

Re: When Is Immersive TOO Immersive?

Whilst I understand that it can be frustrating that a themed land can have limitations I honestly think that’s just bad planning and over thinking the immersion on Disney’s part with both Pandora and Batuu. Ironic really as both of these are based on fictional locations and time points within the so...

When Is Immersive TOO Immersive?

Something that I’ve seen cropping up on some forums from across the pond, mainly to do with Disney, is this idea where we are now getting to a point where so called ‘immersion’ is becoming a hinderance to theme park lands and theme parks in general. I thought it would make for an interesting discuss...

Re: Disneyland Resort

Reviews don’t seem to be getting any better for Smugglers Run, or the area for that matter. Many claiming the area holds no nostalgia besides the Falcon and the whole area and ‘planet’ of Batuu seems extremely bland due to the overuse concrete and complete lack of music (another contender for the “t...

Re: Duel: Retheme, Replace or Remove?

I've said it before and after thinking about it further I still strongly want Duel to see a full re-theme. I feel like the ride is just lacking something even with the overhaul (how many years is this UV paint 'refurb' suppose to take?).  Whilst I expect I will be lynched for suggesting the idea, I ...

Re: PortAventura World

Hey everyone, Was just curious if anyone has an approximate thigh size that Shambhala can accommodate up to? I'm heading to PA for the first time next month and if I'm honest I'm deathly afraid I won't get on Shambhala due to how large my thighs are. Having ridden Mako back in 2017 I really want to ...

We have the brand new logo reveal and well, it’s... um... it’s certainly minimalist? https://i.ibb.co/q9gSnLB/0962-FF8-A-73-C9-434-E-9-B29-B8176-AB83829.jpg https://i.ibb.co/XZC90JK/055-E6-BC1-E8-E7-4935-89-A8-6-B6-AA383-AF4-E.jpg Also, just something I've noticed. Is it really the wisest move to re...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - Quick Questions

So I live in the UK and I’m going on a trip to Chessington and Thorpe Park and I’m worried that I won’t fit and be asked to get off the ride which would be embrassing, so I don’t want to risk it I’m a size 16-18 for bottom. Not because of my thighs but my stomach droops and I pull my jeans up high ...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I should note that the below isn't really something that is a major issue I've seen on TT, more of a general observation! Also apologies if some of this seems vague, having had to write this twice due to a website issue  I may have glossed over some bits hah. I've been thinking recently. Why has Tho...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Alton Towers Resort has released their latest TV advert which features The Alton Towers Dungeon. I do wonder if they will add the flame torches as featured in the still below? From what I hear they are going to be installed, however they haven't been yet (evidently) and so we have the temporary one...

Re: Wicker Man - General Discussion

I have to admit, Wicker Man really is the fastest ride that I've experienced a decline in opinion on ever. Since going on it multiple times over the past few weeks, I've realised that it just doesn't seem to impress me anywhere near as much as it did initially, and I think I'm starting to gather why...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

Clearly there must have been a light out for you, because I could easily see the large set piece which is a few feet from the queue, along with the various Easter eggs in the boxes and on the walls (especially love the one near the front end of the station!). In regards to the actors it’s unfortunat...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Wicker Man is loud when it comes near you, and the maintenance shed has got some loud audio. The station also has some loudish dispatch audio. Unfortunately as a ride it is very loud because of the amount of music they use, even whilst the coaster itself isn’t awfully loud!

Needless to say when you’re hit in the face with water at 30+ mph it’s not very comfortable!
