Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Could someone take note of what time the front gates open for ERT tomorrow? Just want to know what sort of time to get there on Sunday. Thanks :) In the past when I've visited, the gates have opened around 9:15/20 via one section of the gates. That section is reserved for those who qualify for ERT ...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

That's school trip season so don't expect it to be empty I'm currently torn between looking at the videos and staying spoiler free on the off chance I actually do it. It certainly isn't something I'm desperate to do. Does anyone know if they've managed to fully cover up the Charlie stuff yet? I dou...

Re: TTSP Team Changes

I would just like to thank everyone for their kind words about me and Chris joining the team. I would also like to thank the team for taking us on with open arms, we couldn't have asked for a nicer welcoming from the team who have helped us start :) Well done as well to Justin & Dan for their mo...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Having had a closer look, has anyone noticed that Saw:Alive isn't on the map at all? Last year's map still had the attraction on the map even though it wasn't used until Fright Nights. Even Living Nightmare is on the online app and states it will return in 2019. Could this suggest that Saw:Alive wil...

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

Even though it is sad news the VR is being removed, this is honestly for the best in terms of operations. I love the theming and hope that it is kept along with the soundtrack.

I'll very much enjoy getting back on the ride now that the VR won't be a problem.

Re: The Swarm

I doubt brave it backwards would return due to the health and safety side of it. I imagine this is just a stock image that Thorpe had that was best suited for the image.

I would love to see it return in the future but I think its highly unlikely.

Ticket booked, can't wait for this one! Dungeon presentation/Q&A should be fun as well as the takeover after park close!

Can't wait for this first event of the year!

Get out.

Saw: 2nd dispatched train front row in the middle is (in my opinion) the best way to experience the full ride.

I agree with Chris, a stary/night sky indicating late night riding? I guess we shall see since nothing about the Summer Lates were mentioned on the events poster.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Information about  Jungle Escape  has been made public by Thorpe Park. In Spring 2019, select only your bravest and most daring friends to face the Huntsman as you enter the challenging undergrowth of the Jungle Arena. Engage your senses, prime your wit and take on the elements as you undergo a ser...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

Thanks, bank account is crying... :lol I do like the new shirt designs for Wicker Man. I wasn't that fond of the old designs from last year but these certainly make up for it. The VS. Shirt designs I'm not too keen on but I'm sure throughout the season we will see more being released. As for pin bad...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I do think this is a step in the right direction. Single Rider queues are great for those quick rides or not wanting to drag the rest of your group. Hopefully throughout the season we can see the trialling on other rides and we may see a return in the future?

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride

Initially, I wasn't too keen on the idea. I thought it was just a silly cash grab at a ride that didn't really need changing after the recent work it had done. After my first ride, I enjoyed it. I thought it was an overall good experience and liked what had happened. By the end of the 2018 Season, t...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

A quick thought; if the boat journey from Charlie is being used for the Black River section of the ride, could the projection room that used to play a introduction for the ride be used for sentencing scene before boarding? If the layout is going to take the form of Charlie, then the room prior to th...

Re: The Swarm

A great coaster in my opinion. I remember the marketing and build up towards the opening and being so excited. The ride continues to impress me and does remain a solid addition to the park. I still miss the rows being reversed, it offered a different perspective and actually scared me more than ridi...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

The parking increase was introduced near the end of the season I think (or around this region). It's absolutely disgusting how much they are charging at the moment. Alton Towers parking is only £6 and if I'm honest, it's a lot better than Thorpe's parking. Either Thorpe Park need to improve their pa...

Re: Stealth

One of the rides I overlook a lot at the park. I really do enjoy the ride and love the area it's set in.

Launch is good, atmosphere is fun/enjoyable and overall makes for a fun ride. Would definitely love to be on/see a rollback on it but overall I do enjoy Stealth

There is an events topic on the forum but more event information will be announced closer to the time. I would definitely recommend attending one as you meet so many new people and a great day will be had!
