Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Sorry I can't answer this for you.  Have you thought about asking Alton on their Facebook page or twitter?  You could also PM them too via Facebook or send them an email instead of paying out premium price phone call.  Plus this way you'll have it in writing if they argue it, I would also print off ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I was on park yesterday and notice that our named bricks at the entrance looks better.  I don't know if they just gave them a clean or they have added gold and purple colour paint to the engraving, they are very much more readable compared to the start of the season   :)

Re: Visiting early June

I think that you will be all right with all three dates in June, especially the Monday and Tuesday.  If I was to doing a three day visit, I tend to start in a different area on different days.  Obviously, I will go and do the rides that are available for ERT if you are in before the park opens to th...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

I'm actually visiting next Saturday,  but I'll only go in the SeaLife centre as I have my pass. To be fair, it isn't a bad SeaLife, but it's probably one of the oldest and now smallest! I can remember a time when they had fish in the window and water used to splash up the glass. When the Pleasure B...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

There is nothing wrong with Yarmouth itself, I visit it regularly.  It's great during the summer months, plenty to do, but the Sealife itself is not what it used to be.

I doubt that Yarmouth would be very appetising during Febuary.

And sea life Great Yarmouth is missing from the map

Yarmouth is not really worth a trip for nowadays.  It has a lot less aquariums and not that many interesting fish now.  IMO it's really gone down hill the last two seasons.  It used to be a good Sealife.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I've got my resort weekend re-booked without any fuss and a prompt refund on my old booking.  I've actually got a better deal plus an extra night which I paid extra for.  I just hope those that booked a hotel off site and those who have booked time off work may be able to get their stay and time off...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Is that dirt, or did they manage to pressure wash the writing off? Justin & I were talking to a member of staff the day before opening, and when we mentioned how faded the original bricks were looking, she did say that the plaza had been jet-washed over winter.... That is terrible, I have broug...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Arrived on park yesterday. Nice to see the bricks with our names on have weathered nicely    :( https://i.imgur.com/oAVBvYd.jpg Spotted a new (leek?) sign with regards to treating staff and other guest with respect https://i.imgur.com/e21NSco.jpg They were testing the rapids yesterday, but stil...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I did the Dungeons yesterday. The photos of the outside do not do it any justice. The exterior certainly looks loads better in person. I loved the Black River ride, best part of the Dungeons and could have been a stand alone free attraction in itself without the rest of the dungeons. As for the res...

Re: Creative Ideas For new AT Attractions

How about a rollercoaster with an invisible track? Is it possible? Obviously the track has to be there, but the track could be made transparent or at least enough to fool someone coming out of a corkscrew or a loop? For all the safety you know is there before getting on the coaster, that split seco...
