Re: Funfairs, General Discussion.

As someone who has ridden the Mondial rival in France last year, I know what a spectacle and a thrill these gigantic machines are. So I'm guessing you rode Power Maxx? Heard good reviews about that machine, would personally ride Artistico though if I had to ride a Mistral, apparently the KMG versio...

Re: Funfairs, General Discussion.

The English showman (White's) is getting Kipp's original XXL (that is the one we will be seeing at WW)! Some believe the money he makes from selling the XXL will go towards the funding of the XXXL that he is likely to be getting in the future. After it's final season in Germany the machine will be t...

Re: Funfairs, General Discussion.

The KMG XXXL...... Now, earlier this year we saw something strange occur, take into account there are 4 units of the original XXL ride type that are available and being used now, so to see roughly a month ago the 2 of the four models were up for sale interested me.... One of the models that had been...

They certainly still represent good value for money though.

All the more reason for Thorpe to purchase one then, they're cheap, they make the most of space and they apparently give an awesome ride.... What's not to love???

Would love a ride like helix at Thorpe :)

If you have ridden the Swarm, you would know how comfy these style restraints are. Really looking forward to a testing video!

Swarms seats are so comfy, you could literally fall asleep in them, comfiest ride seats i've ever sat in, along with Mondial's Gladiator, and Danters Air.

Re: General Thorpe Park Discussion

Changing the topic slightly, not big news as such, but planning has been submitted to build a small Stealth shop next to the current photo kiosk: http://planning.runnymede.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=Planning%20Applications%20On-Line&TYPE=PL/PlanningPK.xml&P...

Re: The Smiler over closed season 13/14

I want them to do something with the outside of the shop, it just looks messy, just having a blatantly obvious yellow sign, and not really making it fit in with the theme of the station very well... :/

Re: Brighton Pier: What would you want? Or what would you change?

Never made it to Brighton pier. Do you recommend I go?   I wouldn't go out of my way for it, if you're in brighton, sure, pop along, but I wouldn't plan a trip to Brighton ESPECIALLY for it.. Standard machines, fabbri boster, reverchon spinning mouse, log flume, twister/sizzler, zamperla air r...

Re: Brighton Pier: What would you want? Or what would you change?

Look all i'm saying is it's one of the UK's most notorious piers, and a popular tourist destination.... Which at this current time has no 'impressive' or 'special' machines... Just a pretty common fabri booster, mouse coaster, sizzler/twister and a couple of other machines.... I'd like to see a turb...

Re: Brighton Pier: What would you want? Or what would you change?

Unfortunately, more or less nothing remains of the West Pier so a completely new one would need to be built, which is a shame when you consider how it used to look. http://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/01/57/44/1574492_b22cd3cd.jpg As for Brighton Pier, I think one thing they could do is run their b...
