Re: On-Ride Breakdown's Experience's

Got stuck on Ramesis revenge for 20 mins last week, being tall, the harness was wedging me uncomfortably and without my glasses on, i appointed the random child next to me my "seeing eye kid" in case of emergencies. On a side note, could one of the TT crew please remove the apostrophes fro...

Re: The inversions rant I've been saving up for ages.

I agree with most of the above, inversions don't make a good coaster, a combination of speed, air time and decent theming do. Don't get me wrong, i love coasters that invert, but not any more than others. e.g.'s include: the Mummy returns at Universal studios, expedition Everest at disney and stealt...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach 2013: Wallace & Gromit dark ride

I ended up watching all of that Danny. I completely forgot the show ever existed.
Could anyone tell me what ride was where Valhalla now is in that show? (1997) It all looked so much busier then.

Re: Best THEME park in the world?

Out of the one's I've been too, it's a tough call. I agree with all the above statements R.E disney & Universal studios/Islands of adventure. I think i go with Islands of adventure, Jurassic park bought a tear to my eye, and i'm 30, Harry potter is amazingly themed (although i don't really like ...

Re: Thorpe Park 2013: Possible Ride Discussion

As said before, the swarm won't be going 4D, the track would need replacing and they've only had the current cars for a year, so they won't need replacing for a while. Also the Swarm is still new, they won't majourly alter it for years (if at all) my main guess is its something to do with X:NWO or V...

Is there enough at Blackpool to make a 200 mile drive worth it when I have Thorpe & Chessington on my doorstep?

I'd say so, there's a cheap travelodge next to it, i usually go every couple of years and stop at alton on the way.

Re: Wicked Witches Haunt/Phantom Phantasia review/why it didn't work for me

I absolutely loved Phantom Phantasia when i was a nipper, at the time it was one of only a small handfull of rides at thorpe. I never went on WWH after the re-theme, as by then i was obsessed with Chessington and Thorpe really didn't cut the cheese. I seem to remember being impressed by the Peppers ...

I like the uniqueness of FV personally, air and all, gloomy wood rates high as does KC & MB.

Re: another ride in the towers?

But the main part of Hex isn't inside the towers itself, they could use another area inside as a preshow and have the main component elsewhere. As said above, the ride could focus on other members of the family and the fate they met. (Similar, but more effective, to the haunted mansion at disney) Ho...

it would have to be short and pretty tame, i'm not sure you'd definately die, i'm also not sure it's that good an idea, it was kinda off the cuff.

Re: The historic Towers

that may have been in there, although i suspect the earl was trying to protect his lineage as there was only himself and his cousin left at that point. At the beginning, alton lodge was just that a "hunting lodge for rich weirdo's" that every owner subsequently wanted to improve, unfortuna...

Re: What ride would you like to see have a major re-theme?

I voted Charlie, i don't think Air need a re-theme, but could definately do with a spruce up to it's theming, more of the stuff that was planned in the first place, i enjoy its contrast to nemesis, although i think of it as its own themed area really. flume needs removing and replacing with somethin...

Re: The historic Towers

Having read the slightly over detailed "story of the towers" book, i tend to agree with Boz, the house was only "finished" for a very short amount of time, the gardnes and tourism are the only reason the ruins survive at all, Merlin do some restoration every year (As detailed in ...

I Think it would swing more with the weight of passengers, doesn't look too bad, i'd give it a go.
