Re: Fright Nights or Scarefest?

I've been to Fright Night once and though riding in the dark was enjoyable I didn't really love the whole thing. I went on a very busy night and we didn't even go in the mazes because the ques were so long so we just stuck to the rides. If you're a regular at Thorpe you'll know that it attracts some...

Re: Fright Nights or Scarefest?

The shuttle bus takes about 15/20 mins depending on traffic.
Last fright night it took 15 mins.

Re: London Dungeons possibly moving to county hall

No, I've not been that way yet. I know someone who works there and they just said that it's all go, they didn't go into detail but there's a lot of excitement.
So expect a nice new Dugeons sometime early next year!

Re: London Dungeons possibly moving to county hall

Unless it's changed they were closing an unspecified date in December until the reopening at County Hall.
Whichever, they are underway with it all as we speak.

Re: Work experience at Chessington WOA

I doubt you'd be able to do any operational duties as you have to do a bit of training before hand but there is things you could do like shadowing on lesser customer focused/operational duties, you'll have to email them to find out. Remember it's nearing the end of the season until it reopens in Mar...

Re: UK's Tallest ride to be constructed in London

Went to Wonderground tonight and went on this ride. There's this and the Cyclone Coaster you could buy a ticket for both at the grand sum of £10! I enjoyed the ride it wasn't especially fast but wonderfully high and gave great views of London! The only downside to this was the time of ride you got, ...

Re: Unfair Pricing for Disabled People

I don't agree there should be a lower rate fee for disabled, the rides are completely accessible and those who can't/don't want to go on the ride whether they're disabled or not pay the same price. What I do think should happen is that there should be a lower rate entrance fee for those that want to...

Must have been very upsetting for those involved and it sounds like it was dealt with in a brilliant way by the staff!
Wishing all those injured a speedy recovery!

Re: Monorail Accident

So do they get a free stay in the hotel, with a free annual pass, priority tickets, water park access and a round of golf for free? I would be happy with that compensation package... dam I should have got the earlier monorail now! I'm sure they will all receive something but frankly that wouldn't h...

Re: Swarm Fire Effect now operational?

When I went there, three weeks ago for a trip it wasn't, then two weeks ago for work it wasn't functional and when my workmates went last Wednesday it wasn't functional. Just checked for a specific topic and couldn't find anything and looked on the Swarm thread and there was nothing revealed about i...

Re: Swarm Fire Effect now operational?

Ah sweet, thanks!
Yeah I know, because the first thing Thorpe would do is post a Facebook photo of a real life disaster lol!
Looks good though, can't wait to ride it again!

Re: Too large for the rides!

Hi, I'm a size 20-22 (depending on the shop) and I fit rides fine so I'm sure you'll be fine! You may want to avoid Air, my friend who is the same size as me went recently and she only just fit in. It wasnt so much her tummy or chest area, it was her legs. But she used the test seat beforehand to av...

Re: New Online Photos - powered by picsolve

Who knows what will happen. But I will bet you now if it was to happen you'll be dreaming at £2 a photo when you've got 2 companies wanting to make money off of it. The traditionalists won't like it either, I personally would prefer to buy a key ring then get the download, I quite enjoy buying hard ...

Re: New Online Photos - powered by picsolve

I don't deny they would still make money off it, I know exactly what they make on photos anyway and I know it'd be a convenient way of doing things but I don't see it happening. Picsolve supply their printers, paper, keys rings etc. Merlin buy that off them. Picsolve lose that money if they go digit...

Re: New Online Photos - powered by picsolve

Can we only have the download option? They wont do that, hard copy sales will plummet as everyone will download, the amount of people Ive stopped taking photos of the screens tells me a lot of people don't care what quality their photos are as long as they don't have to pay much if anything for it....

Which code is it along the bottom that you can use?

It's the 12 digit one. It probably starts with letters, eg. Tussauds code starts with MT.
So I assume Alton's would probably start with AT.

Re: Guilty Pleasures...Secret Things to do at the Towers

This more applies to Thorpe but if I can't smell freshly frying donuts when I walk in then I need to walk near a donut kiosk. Also at 3 o'clock I have to have an ice cream donut.
