Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

I hope so badly it'll be good. There is a sore need for a game that is coasters that is not RCT4 or NoLimits. I love coasters. I love designing them. But I find NoLimits too sterile for me. Using the program takes my hobby and turns it into an unpaid internship. RCT series is great because the gamep...

Re: Planet Coaster

Both games worry me. PC's stuff which has been shown has looked polished. However, they haven't revealed much information and the publisher expected pre-ordering despite not telling us much and there being other alternative games out/coming out. Stupid decision that. RCTW has shown us a lot. But, th...

Re: SCW55's Kaleidoscope

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been struggling with enthusiasm for RCT3 since part of my enjoyment is sharing what I've done with others. However, I had been discouraged by the feeling that it was not effective. I have still been playing it one-offs, just less intensely. It's a large time commi...

Re: SW8

If SW8 is in FV I would feel like it would sort of need to be a B&M or be a coaster type with a similar looking track form. You have Air and Nemesis as B&M's. If it is a B&M, the price tag would reduce the complexity of the layout. I wonder if a 4D Wingrider would work in that area. It w...

Re: How do you deter vandalism?

Cleaning up vandalism asap is one way.
Existing vandalism encourages more vandalism. It subconsciously encourages people to think it's "ok" to vandalise the scenery since "other people are doing it".

Re: SCW55's Kaleidoscope

Following on from the theme of recording old projects, here's a B&M Inverted coaster!

I use the vertical loop through the draw bridge on my channel indent. It was weird there was never a video of this.

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

My problem with the trailer is that it's noticeable how smooth the IRL coaster looks in comparison to the slightly jaggered in-game one.

I didn't notice the graphical quality the first time. It looks on par with RCT3 which... isn't terrible. Just, disappointing.

Re: Oblivion's future

There is no ride like Oblivion in the UK.
Oblivion will be staying.

The closest will be in Italy later this year. (Oblivion's sister)

Re: #TheDress debate

The dress is in shadow, therefore its colour is distorted. Light affects what colour things are. But there's also psychological things and stuff to do with language.

I'm happy that Internet has noticed that colour is weird.

Now to wait for Internet to realise that sexism is bad.

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

The co-op build might be great.
When using Minecraft I wished that the railtracks were more interesting. It made me wish for an online RCT game.

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

I would like the behaviour of the guests to be more... fair? It's rather annoying when playing a scenario and the only spot to build a coaster is on the other side of the park. No one turns up to it because "it's too far". You've sank £15k on a coaster that barely turns any profit. It was ...

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon World

I hope all the little details that are actually important for a roller coaster are implemented: 1) Realistic supports. I don't enjoy placing them. It's sort of like a meditation exercise, but I cannot escape how time consuming it feels to place custom supports. It's an education referring to existin...

Re: SCW55's Kaleidoscope

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g108/scw55/TheDecline_zps4cad9fe9.jpg Situated in a swamp of decay, stands an old house, morbid in appearance. The years of neglect has not been kind. No one dares approach the depraved husk of a home. The reason for its solitude has been lost from memory. What rem...

Re: SCW55's Kaleidoscope

I referenced the height of real-life Junior coasters (50ft), but I was surprised at how much taller it was than the trees. I thought it was too high.

Re: SCW55's Kaleidoscope

I've started to develope two other zones now. Things are starting to shape nicely. I started building a Duelling Tilt-Coaster in the decay/marsh area. I did something unusual this time, I started theming as I was building the supports. Usually I support first, and then do the themeing. This time I s...
