Re: Valravn - Cedar Point - 2016

Totally agree with the theming point, the name and concept behind the name had real potential and was in my opinion of of the cleverest names for a coaster if the theming and ride, queueing and station experience and backstory were all there to back it up but this just falls flat in these areas. I k...

Re: So has The Smiler topped Nemesis?

I think Nemesis still holds the crown personally but the second airtime hill on The Smiler is unbelievable.

Re: Your World First Ideas

Not a ride idea, but I've recently wondered why rollercoasters don't have suspension? It would be incredible! Does anyone know why it hasn't been done/ couldn't be done?

Re: Best themed Coaster Thorpe VS Alton...

To me the whole warehouse of Saw makes it the best, integrating it into the queue line builds tension for the ride fantastically and the details on the walls and inside cages are very accurate to the films! This has to be one of the only outdoor rollercoasters that stuck to a movie theme and it did ...

Re: Thorpe Park Next Coaster

Does anyone know the absolute highest Thorpe can go with a coaster? There's no trees for boundaries and if they've already topped the hyper mark, what's to stop them (apart from space) from going giga?

So they are... Wing rider restraints on an invert should be fantastic! Apart from the problems I had with wing rider restraints when going that speed. NOT PLEASANT

Re: Kings Island new major attraction 2014

Well done spiderpig ;) So finally the first inverted hyper! I've always wanted one and now it's been done, and in style too! And unless i'm mistaken, that is the first barrel roll on a B&M invert so it should be interesting too see how that works out

Re: Kings Island new major attraction 2014

Shame the announcement is at 3 in the morning for us
Kings island tweeted this yesterday:
"Everything is ready to fly for tomorrow night's 10pm announcement.  #KingsIsland2014" could this mean a flyer, but still probably a wing rider.

Kings Island

Kings Island have revealed that a new major addition to the park will be opened in 2014 with a more detailed announcement tomorrow. Will cedar fair build another B&M Wing Rider or go for something else? Either way, it will be a 'record breaker' so it's going to be something quite special.

Best Rollercoaster in the world?

Obviously not many people have ridden them all, but out of the ones you have, which was the best?

Mine is MIllenium Force. The first drop is hard to beat and the constant speed throughout the ride is incredible! awesome airtime and the lap bars make such a huge difference to the ride experience.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

If The Inoculator is timed to just miss the riders I think it would be a great experience, maybe even randomise it so it sometimes hit them? Personally I'm looking forward to seeing The Flasher testing! I'm really intrigued to see how effective the strobe effect is in daylight.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

With the risk of going off topic here, what does the sign say on the bottom of the Inoculator leg? In photos it doesn't say The Inoculator (like it does on the concept art), but you can only see the last two letters; 'ON'. Does it say 'Inoculation'? EDIT: this photo shows what I mean! http://sphoto...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I'm so confused.. the supports are on the wrong side aren't they? what I'm seeing here (and probably only me) is an inverted hill where the car goes under the track and twists back upright at the top... Or not.
