Re: Universal Studios Japan

From what I can gather, at one point in the video, the Japanese subtitles say the queue line reached 720 minutes - "720分". That's 12 hours long.... :dizzy: :yikes:

Re: Kärnan - Hansa Park - Opening 2015

Overall this ride looks amazing, however I can't help but feel that the freefall drop is absolutely pointless. It looks like a complete waste of time and money..

Re: Port Aventura to open Ferrari Land in 2016

Here's a great photo, courtesy of pa-communtiy, comparing the height of the new roller coaster in Ferrari Land against Shambhala and Dragon Khan. Definitely looks like PA are upping their game even further with this investment! http://static.pa-community.com/pictures/e1/46/0f4b6bd85da3715dc94f5c3139...

Re: If you could add one more inversion to ANY of the Top 6.

I believe there are no corkscrews on flying coasters so far, although it must be possible. I believe there's a corkscrew on Manta at Sea World I'd have loved for thirteen to have had a small inversion as one of my friends doesn't dare go on nemesis and the smiler because they have never been upside...

Re: The future of Coaster Corner

Alton Towers did..it was highlighted in the LTDP that coaster corner could be an area for expansion in the future but with it being one of the closest points to the village of Alton itself I doubt we'll see a large scale roller coaster there, but who knows, I didn't see a 14 inversion roller coaster...

Re: Thunderbird - Holiday World - Opening 2015

Looks really good and wouldn't have been surprised if this was meant to be SW7, still looks like a contendor for the next big coaster at towers though. Can't wait to see how the whole project pans out for holiday world and wow, I love the colour of them trains!

Re: Rollercoaster Tycoon 4

Sort of hoping in the PC version they include some form of hotel management too, where you can build accomadation which the people stay in. Fingers crossed for a seperate multiplayer function where you can build parks with other users of the game too! But got a feeling I'm asking for too much here..

Re: Proposed Paramount Park in Kent

I really really hope this goes ahead. It'll bring a much needed boost of competition for Merlin and may even draw attention for other large brands to locate there theme parks in the UK, universal for example

Re: Whirled Cup of Rides

Whirled cup of crap! Absolutely a fix. I've just sat and counted, sad as it may be, for about 20 minutes over 400 people's votes, the majority being nemesis just to prove this point and clearly she was the winner. Such a shame you had to make your newest ride seem the best though....

Re: SW8

Alton towers already have an extensive range of coaster types in their park with different experiences. So I'm hoping that SW8, or even if that's what it will be code named as, will develop this range even further. Having been on shockwave at Drayton Manor, I feel that they could work a stand-up coa...

Re: SW8

I am still amazed merlin went with Gertslauer, imo they don't suit major parks and really belong to smaller parks with small budgets. Im sure B&M or intamin could have provided a better alternative to SW7. Im quite sure that the next ride will be either B&M or mack. B&M could offer a ve...

Re: Alton Towers - Winged Coaster?

I hope not, having been on the swarm and from other reviews of wing riders, it seems they slow down quite fast due to the wider trains meaning to get a good ride out of one it has to be tall. For me the idea of a woodie or multi launch sounds like a better option

Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Hi this might sound like a stupid question but can you use your MAP on the date it says it expires? Im planning a trip to towers on tuesday which is also the day it runs out and just wondered if i'd be allowed in, Cheers

Re: Enchanted Village - Coming in 2015

These new lodges are definitely a step in the right direction in my opinion, they look nice and will cement Alton Towers as a resort. For any body who is looking for cheaper accommodation can easily book just down the road where there is a camp site, less than a 5 minute drive from towers. I'd rathe...

Re: Helix - Liseberg Opening in 2014

I could definitely see a Mack multi launch, ground hugging coaster at towers. They seem to be manufactured to top quality and are bringing great competition to the likes of B&M and intamin, really showing them what they can do! I can see helix being in the top 10 roller coasters in the world if ...

Re: Will Merlin buy Drayton Manor Theme Park?

Drayon Manor is no way on its last legs. In 2012 the park had its second best season ever with around 1,120,000 people visiting and plans for the future are looking great with the addition of a new hotel, a zamperla air race and rumours of a new coaster in the mix. Yes, merlin would be able to affor...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Preach it, they won't know what's hit them when TT cracks down on there wedge betrayal. I hope other people don't have to face the same disastrous news when being told they no longer serve their hearty, spice-coated, mouth-watering succulent pieces of potato. It felt as if a part of the alton towers...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I'd like to add to the topic of no mist or strobe lighting that this is an extremely poor effort on alton towers' part. You'd have thought that on the first day of the 2014 season they'd have got things back up and operating like opening day last May. They might have run out but they've had all clos...
