Re: Duel and the Gloomy Wood - A future?

I don't see the Gloomy Wood and Dark Forest as being the same theme. Gloomy Wood is more of a family friendly spooky trick or treat sort of light hearted feel. Dark Forest is more of a more mature scary serious sort of feel. I think its great to have both. The main thing I would like to see is for D...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

It is possible for 3 friends to get the family pass. One person will have to pay the full coast of the 3 passes at the time of purchase though as they can't take individual payment from each of the 3 individuals. You will each get your own pass so you don't have to rely on all of you being free if ...

Do You Have to be a Family for the Family Pass?

Me and two friends are planning on getting annual passes next year. When I'm looking at the terms and conditions I can't see any reason why we can't get a 3 adult family annual pass.

Do we have to be related or can friends use this? Does anyone know if this is possible?

Re: SW8

Out of curiosity, is the purpose of the rumoured cross-valley coaster meant to be a means of transport to cross the valley or is it a loop that just takes you back to where you started?

Re: The Future of Nemesis Sub-Terra

When I went on Monday (28/10/13), there were no actors at all in the final section. No one when the lift doors opened. No one waiting in the dark. I thought this was quite poor considering it is Scarefest. I thought they would put more effort in, not less. Maybe actors were re-allocated to scare att...

Weather Warning For Monday 28/10/13

I'm sure many of you have already heard about the severe weather warnings for Monday morning. How do you think this will affect AT? Less visitors? Ride closures? From what I've read the weather is expected to clear up around midday so hopefully it won't have too much affect on the park post-4pm duri...

Re: 2013 Scarefest

Hey so I'm going to fright night at Thorpe park this year but I've never been to scarefest. Wondering if anyone has been to both and knows which one is better? I went to both last year and I'm going to both this year. I wouldn't call either one better. It depends on what you prefer. Both have their...

Ah fair enough. It is strange, you'd think they would have announced SAW and Asylum first since they were obvious.

Re: Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2013

oh. so the asylum is back even though thorpe park havent actually announced it yet. you heard it here first Yeah it was pretty much known. I tweeted about this a few days ago that the 6th attraction would just be Asylum based on some image URLs I worked out: https://twitter.com/tharrison4815/status...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I hope they get the issues fixed before Scarefest. Id rather they just close it for a month to fix all the issues and ensure it runs well then.

Okay, so this is weird.. But I saw a video on instagram of oblivion and happened to notice something and I'm sure it's not just me! This picture; http://s13.postimg.org/gqf0oywkn/image.jpg Am I the only one who thinks oblivion looks squint? If you look at the front of the train compared to the hori...

Re: SW8?

sw8 will be a family ride on a large scale i think. the smiler / sw7 was a thrill ride so it only makes sense their next addition caters for a family target audience. ive made it well clear they need to replace the flume NOW I would say that it would be another thrill ride from the current pattern:...

Re: Merlin Membership

The reason why you pay a higher price is: -It is like HP, your paying over a year so look of it as interest -There will be a higher admin fee, due to 12 transactions per year rather than 1 -Extra overhead, if a direct debit bounces.. what do they do Also if somebody takes out one month, then uses i...

Re: Ride Downtime 2013

When I visited last week Enterprise was closed all day too. What's up with X-Sector? It's like it's cursed recently. Maybe Wardley wouldn't spare a farthing for an old beggar? Later that very same night, a ferocious storm raged. And with one mighty strike, a bolt of lightning severed a single branch...
