Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Just one more question about the annual passes...

The annual pass website lists that premium pass includes the priviledge pack which includes 'One Fastrack at Theme Parks'

Does anyone know if this means 1 fastrack per year, 1 fastrack per theme park per year or 1 fastrack per visit?

The Merlin Annual Pass

I don't know if this has already been asked but I can't seem to find anything about it. Me and a few friends are buying an annual pass for the first time, we are getting a premium pass in the January sale, but we were wondering if we can get a 'family' pass for 3 of us even though there are no child...

Ride op costumes

Right now The Smiler ride ops are the only ride ops that wear a costume that I can think of (other than N:ST). So I have a few questions... Is this a temporary thing for the opening season? Are there any other ride ops wearing costumes? Did other ride ops have costumes in the early days, if so does ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I'm in park on the 10th & 11th of July, will the simler still be 2-3 hours then?? I'm quite surprised at how consecutively long the queue has been since it opened! Is the smiler still using temporary queues or is it just in the real queue now? I was there today and the queue was never less than...

Re: Quick Questions

Does anyone know what time the car park opens to guests, and what time the first monorail is from the car park to the entrance?

You're right, it would be hilarious, but it would waste some valuable time. :)

Alton Towers forfeits

So me and a few mates are going to AT next week (2nd July) and we are setting forfeits for anytime someone chickens out of a ride.

We need some ideas that are a) going to be funny as hell b) will be safe to do in AT

We will use some of the best ideas

Re: Quick Questions

I'm going on 2nd July, it's during school time so I'm hoping it should be ok, but realistically how busy can I expect it to be?

what type of major flat would you like to see next?

Haha! I actually went on one of these last week! It's such a simple ride, but you're right, it made me smile. It's such a bizarre sensation and one I've never experienced before on any other ride. I think this is more a travelling fair ride though, can't see it fitting in at AT. I'd love to see a dr...

Re: The future of Nemesis.....

why wouldn't Nemesis be around in 50-100 years time? I can't imagine AT keeping any ride for that long, even Nemesis. They'd want to use the space to invest in newer, more advanced coasters to draw in the crowds. Bear in mind Merlin/AT have MUCH more money that BPB, they can afford to introduce new...

Re: The Smiler - Other Discussion

While we're talking about advertising... Out of curiosity, when AT says The Smiler is an £18m investment, would this include the marketing costs or would that come from their general marketing budget?

I'd have a guess and say they've included some marketing in the "investment"
